Hello there. Blender wiki seems like a good source of information: http://wiki.blender.org/index.php/Manual/Animation_Basics I hope the tutorials are good! ------------------ [VoHW] (Help needed) [Blog] - Truedisciple (mp3) |

This tutorial (specifically number 4) is the one that really helped me learn how to do good animation in Blender. Also, the excellent Blender Basics 2nd Edition was an aid to me as well. |

quote: You need to create some joints (aka bones, nodes), and attach the different parts of the mesh to different joints. In the animation window, you can move the joints around and set different key frames in the animation. I haven't done this myself with Blender, but I believe this is the standard procedure. ------------------ |

I've been busy with other stuff(C++, Pygame, etc) and I'm going to try those tutorials now. ------------------ |

Aside from using bones you can create shapes as morph targets. Useful for doing things like facial animations. While I'm not a big fan of the noob2pro tutorial ...here is the part that shows you how to do that. http://en.wikibooks.org/wiki/Blender_3D:_Noob_to_Pro/Advanced_Tutorials/Advanced_Animation/Guided_tour/Mesh/Shape/Sync |
