I realize this tool isn't exactly big on low-level programming... and may or may not be suitable for CCN because of that... but has anybody tried using Dim(ension)3? It's pretty cool. It's a "3D game without content." I really like what I've seen so far. It's got some sweet lighting effects in it, and the graphics are very smooth. The scripting is all done in JavaScript... so I think it'd be an easy tool to learn. It comes with level editors and modeling/animator tools too.

Just thought I'd share my find.

I've finally gotten around to toying with dim3 a little bit. It's actually really cool. It seems super easy to create levels. So as a fun, and simple, project, I've decided to turn the first dungeon of the original Zelda game into a map. Now, if I can just get some JavaScript figured out (I'm a PHP guy, not that JavaScript and PHP are anything alike).

Never tried it, thank you very much for sharing the info though, what's the link you get it at? I'd like to look into it.

thanks xian_lee, it looks good, but from their website it appears you can only create projects on MacOS X, but they will run on xp and linux...that would rule me out
