C++ Short-Sharp and Sweet – dartsman

dartsman Member Posts: 484 From: Queensland, Australia Registered: 03-16-2006	Hi Everybody (hi doctor nick) Ok, well you'll first need a Compiler. Dev-C++ a free IDE with the Mingw compiler. I'll work with dev-c++ for this tutorial, however I'm going to have to change to Visual Studio later as I know what it can/can't do. Although maybe i might convert some of the examples to dev-c++. http://internap.dl.sourceforge.net/sourceforge/dev-cpp/devcpp-4.9.9.2_setup.exe download, install. Now i like to have a directory whenever i do programming just for my programming solutions/projects. mine is "C:\Jon's\Programming\My Stuff\" i would recommend a shorter directory :P plus no spaces, some compilers/IDEs have fits over spaces in directories. (Not good ole VS.NET :P) Ok, first program...
