Anyone out there in Code-Land use the Irrlicht Engine before? It's a free engine I'm looking at for use in my game & I'm asking around...it looks pretty good, but not being a programmer myself ( designer, artist)....not sure if it's worth looking into further. If anyone wants to take a peek it's here ... http://irrlicht.sourceforge.net/...
Let me know what you think. Any C++ coders out there want to help on a massive 3rd person game...look to the Help Wanted section, I'll be posting there soon.

fixed link --> http://irrlicht.sourceforge.net/

I looked at it and it does indeed look nice. License seems decent, but I need to look into that a bit more. It has some very nice features - definitely a great engine for someone getting started and looking for a package that offers "state of the art" wow! factor.

I haven't looked into it any further tho...yet

Looks nice. Very loose licensing, you should be able to do almost anything you want with it, as long as you give credit to them.

Yes, it's a very nice graphics engine. Looks like it even has all of the source code with it! Nice.

Doesn't appear to offer multiplay support though

Yeah, but you can always use something like SDL or DirectPlay to do that. It need not be part of the graphics engine.
