Sweeeeet. I hope this thing will stay up for a while. I want to wait until I get my new computer so I can install it on that.

Burn a copy to CD, and print the registration # .

I wonder if it'll work with MindRover (they use .COB files), so I'm downloading it .

I got Truespace 3 on a magazine coverdisk a couple of years ago, but found it was a lite version. The main feature that it lacked was editing via text box, you know, you could type in the position, size of an object. This really annoyed me because I loved that from TS1, TS2. Anyways, is this the lite version or the full unadulterated version?

It's the full, complete version. The current release is Truespace 6.5, so they don't figure there's much harm in giving away v3, and figure perhaps they'll sell a few copies (upgrades) in the process.

Are there any stipulations on commercial use of this version 3?

I don't think so, I haven't seen any legal info, though. I wouldn't recommend commerial use, though - I've had some troubles converting objects made in TrueSpace 3.2 to something useful.

It works perfectly with MindRover - I think this is the version they used to make their models in. I wonder if that's not coincidence.

Mindrover? Is that an older robot wars type game? I think I looked at it once, but found it very complicated to play (or is that program?). Then again, there have been a couple of them now so I may be thinking of a different robot programming game.

Wire up a rover, and let it participate in contests, races, battles, etc. Yeah, it's a little old. It's a bit easier than some of the programming ones, since it's got a GUI that does drag and drop wiring (programming). Easy to learn, but difficult to master - the player-held contests are tough, since many players have their rovers practically tweaked to perfection, and some players have the advantage of having Computer engineering/science experience.

Going through the single-player levels is a bit easier, though. I've already beat all the single-player scenarios.

Sounds interesting, if a little too much like hard work! LOL. I might give it a look when I get a chance
