I was wondering if anyone has looked into using Neverwinter Nights world building capabilities? NWN is likely to be a pretty popular game for awhile and it seems to have quite a flexable tool set, say for building swords of the spirit and sheilds of faith and flaming arrows of the evil one. I have not really bought the game yet but have been looking into it. Love in Christ |

Actually, the same thing popped into my head a couple of days ago when I was reading several reviews on NWN. I'm talking to God about if I should purchase it or not, if the choice is yes I'll probably wait a little while before picking it up. |

quote: Hey, we (GraceWorks Interactive) are considering it. Need to read the fine print. Dungeon Siege editors & Morrowind's editors are also possibilities although D.S. won't allow commercial products. Has anyone read the fine print on Morrowind or NeverWinter yet? Also are taking looks at GarageGame's Torque engine. Then again, Rich found a site that lists over 600 engines! LOL! Back to the topic, the Neverwinter Nights' one sounds interesting. From what I read, they were working on it for 5 years (hopefully only doing the graphics at the end). Anyone played the game or tried the editor? Please report. God bless you all, ------------------ |

3d engine list is here, there's about 600+, the site seems quite out-dated, but it still has a huge amount to look at. Please remember to look at the licensing, to avoid getting into trouble. I think it would be quite cool to develop a 3d engine here at CCN. A kinda group project. heh, anyways happy hunting. --D-SIPL |

quote: You know that almost everyone here at CCN has been rooting for a "group project" where all the proggies here get together to make a unified project. This has been going on for over a year and nothing has been done about it. The Christian gaming industry is so very small, that I personally don’t think that a singular group(s) of people will jump start it. I do believe that a lot of the CCN coders should get together and either make a Christian game or mod, but that’s up to them to decide. |

It is a great idea. Obviously not all of us can devote a lot of time to it, but we could help people who are a little less experienced, and then they've got something to be proud of at the end, plus they gain experience. It's a winner surely?? --D-SIPL |
