Godzilla: Unleashed for the PS2 is already on store shelves, and the Wii version hits shelves tomorrow. I'm in the credits of both. If you have a Wii (and you like monsters or fighting games), get that version--I wrote all the AI for that version. I also did a lot of scripting for both games, as well as bug fixing, etc. It had a slightly longer than 9 month gestation period, but it's my baby, nonetheless.

Congratulations, Steve. I look forward to seeing the real Steve Goss up on Mobygames, instead of the imposter up there right now.

Thanks guys!

I don't work directly for Atari. I work for Pipeworks Software, Inc. which is a division of Foundation 9 Entertainment. Atari is the publisher for the game. The company we call Atari, was Infogrames, which bought the name from whoever owned it. The original Atari hasn't existed since the 90's.

Yeah, there is another game developer with my name: "Stephen Goss" who has been making games for years (try 14+). That's why my name shows up in the credits for GZ:U as "Stephen A. Goss". Yeah, I know, google that name and you'll find a paper "Analysis of a multielement ultrasound hyperthermia applicator." The author of that paper died 9 years ago.

All this time I had thought you wrote one of my beloved works "Analysis of a multielement ultrasound hyperthermia applicator."

It's finally out! Yeah! That's fantastic news! Congratulations! I know you put in a lot of hard work. I'll see if my nephew wants it for the Wii. Hope it goes well. Do you get to relax now?

Hey, Steve, that's totally great.

Maybe we'll see Leviathan vs. Behemoth? (friendly joust)

Congratulations to you. You had a dream. You worked hard. Now, it's a blessing to see the fruits of your labor.

A fascinating piece, though, I have to admit.

It always feels good to ship, well - I'm sure there are exceptions.

Definitely celebrate your success though.

Anyway to get a discount? Probably not.

Was the other Steven involved (SSquared)? You are at Pipeworks too, right?

God bless you all!

I don't work at Pipeworks. Steve and I worked together at another company. He was a great addition to the team. I really enjoyed working with him and miss not seeing him daily. We had good times together and even got to travel to Pennsylvania together.

The work was already getting boring, but when Steve left, part of why I was even there went with him. I, too, left a few months later. We now work about 1/2 mile from each other.

All of that just to give major props to Steve. I so enjoyed working with him and would love to do it again.

The game hasn't gotten the greatest reviews, but there is one user review that bears reading. It put a smile on my face to read an account of somebody having so much fun and getting so into the plot and nuances of the game.

Oh yeah, I contributed a tiny bit to an interview on tohokingdom.com. Look at the bottom of the page.

That forum review was sweet! He totally got into the game, and it sounds like absolute blast.

Glad to see you're getting your literary groove on again. You certainly do a good job and work that English degree for all it's worth.

Han,
If there was money in it, I'd be writing in English, not C++, for a living.
