I was awoken in the early morning hours; my thoughts were spinning. I had prayed to God: speak to me tonight. I meant "in my dreams" but God impressed this upon me:

you worshipped greed and jealousy and that is why you see death all around
all eyes were on LB games and they should have been on me.

Brothers, if this applies to you a drop, or if you're seething with conviction, I implore you to look at this as an open door to walk through and be changed.

This is an opportunity to admit fault with God. Let's go to him and repent. He is merciful. This is an opportunity to unload jealousy and greed and to walk through the eye of the needle and be loaded up on the other side with wealth and success. It's an opportunity to be sheared and emerge clean on the other side of the gate. It's an opportunity to be pruned and bear fruit next season.

I can see this applying in many ways (not just relating to LB or games either). This is one of the things I battle with daily and feel that I never get anything done (work, programming, music, family stuff, etc.)...I'm not looking to the Lord in everything as I know I should be.

Awesome. My wife and I got down on the floor this morning and prayed for new clean hearts for ourselves and for everybody on this site and associated with CGDC.

May God bless us all with His peace that He can give to us when we have our eyes on Jesus and humble our self in front of Him.
But when we look at others jealousy can arise and we might pursue our goals/plans blindly.

I'm thankful to God that He can change even a prideful heart to give honor and glory to Him.

Do you remember when I saw the "5" in the floor tiles? I was so worried about how I saw that "5". It was upside down, and looked broken. In the Bible, "5" pertains to Grace. Thinking about it, I saw that "5" exactly as I should have. From our fallen, human perspective, Grace simply does not fit. We cannot comprehend it because we do not deserve it. It seems all wrong. But, from God's perspective, Grace to His children is the perfect fit, because it is exactly what we need, and God will always give His children what we need. We do not need riches or fame or "success". Rather, we need Him, and He has given us Himself, even to the Cross. "Grace! Grace! God's Grace!... Grace that is greater than all my sin!" Do not dwell on the past, but press on to that higher calling that is ours in Christ Jesus, our LORD.

Never Forget to Pray!

"...prayer itself is an art which only the Holy Ghost can teach us. He is the giver of all prayer. Pray for prayer---pray till you can pray; pray to be helped to pray, and give not up praying because you cannot pray, for it is when you think you cannot pray that you are most praying. Sometimes when you have no sort of comfort in your supplications, it is then that your heart---all broken and cast down---is really wrestling and truly prevailing with the Most High."
Charles Haddon Spurgeon, from the pamphlet, "Effective Prayer"
