I had no idea a web demo could look this good: http://unity3d.com/gallery/live-demos/tropical-paradise ------------------ "Oh, bother," said the Borg. "We've assimilated Pooh." Any fool can know, the point is to understand. -- Albert Einstein |

We've been wanting to use Unity for a while but unfortunately they've chosen to make the dev tools Mac-only. |

Perhaps things have changed but at least a couple months I tried convincing their CEO it was worth their time to invest into a Windows or Linux port of the dev tools; he said it wasn't currently in their plans. Personally I consider that a foolish business decision considering the growth of casual games. If their goal is to help the Mac platform then I doubly don't see their reasoning since any game produced by the dev tools would be capable of running on the Mac. |

quote: Nope, Unity-made games don't run in Linux either . I still think it's such a nice engine that I'm willing to sacrifice some freedoms. (My goal is to get a simple game in Unity done, and then an exact same version made in Blender for the Linux folks. I don't know how possible or easy this is though). ------------------ "Oh, bother," said the Borg. "We've assimilated Pooh." Any fool can know, the point is to understand. -- Albert Einstein |
