GarageGames has a big announcement, you can find the best statement here at Josh Williams (GG CEO) blog. Overnight there have been many articles about this in various business related and news sites (wall street journal, etc). This blog explains it best... lots of exciting things on the way. Also answers a question I've been getting a lot lately about Torque in a browser.

Keep in mind if you have any direct questions about the matter post it on the GG blog site for now. We're trying to keep the amount of people answering questions to a minimum.

WOW.

That's fantastic news! It's always a tough call to merge companies, but it really sounds like this was the right decision. I'm quite excited to be on the GG bandwagon, and can't wait to see where all of this goes!

Some quick quotes from press releases at business sites about this deal that sums it up.

quote:
IAC (InterActive Corp.), who also operate brands including Ask.com, Match.com, Ticketmaster and HSN

quote:
Barry Diller, who has headed up Fox and Paramount and is now the Chairman of Expedia and the Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of IAC/InterActiveCorp (the parent company of businesses such as Home Shopping Network, Ticketmaster, Match.com, LendingTree, among others)

Here's a good interview with Josh (Williams) about the goals of GG and the deal.

ADD: Also Josh talks about developers who want to get funded or included on InstantAction.
