IndieGamesCon 2007 - Eugene, OR
Oct. 10 - 11

World Domination Through Collaboration
GarageGames.com

IGC is back! We used last year's "Not-IGC" get-together as a learning experience and tried to incorporate the casual camaraderie of that event into the best parts of past IGCs to create what we are hoping will be the best IGC yet. Round-table discussions on the topics you want to talk about, a show-off center to get your game(s) in front of some new eyeballs (and to check out what your peers are working on), and plenty of networking and gaming opportunities.

And we want you to be there! So mark your calendars, book your airline tickets and take the time off. Bring your games, your enthusiasm, and your appetites, and join us for an exciting collaboration of community and developers under one roof. Registration is $100 up until Sep. 8, and will increase to $150 on Sep. 9.

Check out more info at indiegamescon.com or register here.

Excellent Dude!

Hopefully,Oneday Traditionalists will retake the Gaming Industry, and when that happens..I'll be cheering for them.

So, is anyone going? Unfortunatley, the conference does not directly relate to my job. But I may still ask my boss if work can somehow get me to go.

Matt - just double checking that my calendar isn't broke, the 10th & 11th is a Wednesday and Thursday. Past IGCs were Friday-Sunday.

I hope to make it, mid-week is harder to swing than the weekend.

Thanks,
Tim

Tim,

You are correct, previous IGCs were in fact Friday-Sunday so people who couldn't get weekdays off would at least have 2 out of 3 days.

Unfortunately that changed... well unfortunately and fortunately. The reason for the change was to get certain sponsors, publishers, and media to attend scheduling in the week helps quite a bit (during their work hours). Doing this will allow us to bring more exposure to all of the Indie developers and the games they will be presenting and that's part of what we've intended IGC to be... a chance for Indie developers to catch the eye of publishers, media, as well as fellow Indies and other resources.

As well as being just a fun gathering of great people.

Unfortunately this change makes it harder for some Indies to attend, which is the downfall. I guess based on the response we get this year we can gauge whether or not the shift was worth it for the Indies who can attend.

Well, I'll plan for it and hopefully make it. Hard to pass up since I'm so close (in Corvallis).

In the past, Jay would let me have a small table/booth - to advertise CGDC mostly but I may want to set some games out too. Who do I talk to about that since Jay is gone?

Also, check your snail mail by Friday, sent you and Ben and the team some goodies.

God bless,
Tim

Would be great to see you there

Drop an e-mail to ericf@garagegames.com about that. He would probably the person who currently would handle that. I miss Jay... though still see him from time to time. Jay is a blast.

Goodies are always... well... good, thx
