hey, I'm sorry but "Xtain Game Development"?? Are you trying to reach some hip christian market? Trying to be with the times? Couldn't fix too many characters in the string? It's like Xmas!! Why not just say Christmas??

Hey, darts --
I used to feel exactly the same as you until I found out that early Christians, and especially scribes would write "X" as short for Christ (because "Christ" in Greek starts with the letter chi, which looks like "X"). So it's actually quite an old tradition.

I will note, however, that it is odd to write "xtian", when, if "x" is short for Christ, you end up with "Christtian", which doesn't make much sense.

well, he couldn't very well say xian, cuz then somebody might think he meant X'ian, and they'd be like... 'chinese games? huh?'

(X'ian is a city in China, if you weren't sure :P)

yeah, although it might be and old tradition, it's sort of been rubbished now days with the whole "Xmas" cards and such and such... You can see that today with many words and characters...

lol on the "christtian"... I just feel that hey, if your gonna get into Christian Game Development, you may as well say "Christian" rather then "xtain", sort of feels that it's down grading of sorts...

Is it just me? or does anyone else feel the same?

You have a good point there, darts -- although the early Christians were probably not trying to "take Christ out of χριστιανους", it certainly feels that way these days. I concede the point.

I played the God's Sandbox game. (Still am actually). Having a hrad time making trees. :-/

Fun stuff. While the graphics are good enough, it'd be nice to see that game get overhauled one day. I liked pilars of fire though.

The maker of that game deserves a stack-o-cash so he can run with it and make a new version.

Sandbox of God is awesome.
and, well, I forgot the secret to making forests. i think it's like seeds->wind->rain and last ->rabbits. or something like that.

I made a rabbit village once, that rocked.

I prefer the word xtian and as said above it does actually come from a greek word. However it is confusing some people so I may change it to christian!

The games on the website are soooooooooooooooo out of date. Once my exams are finished I will start to properly design games.

Can't wait to see more games from Fish Studios. Are you guys still working on new/old projects? looks like you have a nice selection of games, so you guys definately should have experience. Unfortunately I'm too busy atm to check them out, their screenies look cool though, very arcadish :P awesome

Keep up the good work!!!
