Hey guys!

I don't know how many of you are eagerly anticipating the upcoming Easter release of Timothy & Titus by White Knight Games, but I for one am stoked (have my platinum pack on pre-order).

They started a giveaway/contest that is running for the month of February with a minigame on their website to promote the Easter release. There are 4 weekly competitions with an overall grand prize.

Basically, you play the game over at http://www.whiteknightgames.com/game/wk_scrollhunt.php , and you can compete to get high scores. The individual winners for each week get 25% off of the game if they want to buy it, but here's the real kicker. If you sign up in the forums as a team (consisting of 2-4 people), and your team is the winner for that week, *each team member gets a free copy of the game*. W00t!

IIRC, the overall individual winner for all 4 weeks also gets a free platinum pack of the game -- I think that's pretty sweet too.

I'm signed up already, and currently have the high score (not sure how long it will last).

So if you want to get in on this promotion for an awesome upcoming Christian game, I recommend you check it out!

Their forum announcement is here:
http://www.whiteknightgames.com/forums/viewtopic.php?t=55

I'd love to see 2 or 3 teams from CCN get organized and win some of the weeks.

Enjoy! I know I certainly will.

In Christ,
clint

Yeah, it was a long time before I got any games that finished the level. Just take your time and don't rush it -- honestly you have plenty of time to finish the level. Once you beat it a couple of times, then you can start speeding up.

But hey, if winning it's worth a $30 game that I'm looking forward to, heck yeah, sign me up.

No pain, no gain?

Yeah, I watched that trailer... That game looks SWEET! Just wondering, but do you know anyone inside WKG, or did you just find out about them somehow?

I met Laurence and Mitchell at last year's Christian Game Developer's Conference. They're great guys, and I got to hang out with them some and get to know them a little bit. I'm looking forward to seeing them again this next year (I already bought my plane tickets, and I'm pretty sure they're planning on going as well).

Since last year I've been checking up on their site and tracking their progress.

There are a number, though most of them are professionals who don't have time to post as much as many of the people here. You mentioned the Xrucifix guys, though there are people who visit here from Brethren Entertainment, from Graceworks Interactive, from Covenant Studios (they just released BibleMan: A Fight for Faith), and I think I've seen people from Boanerges Studios here as well. I know I'm missing a number of them, but they're floating around here from time to time. More of the professional game developers seem to hang out over at http://www.icgda-portal.org , and I know there's a pretty good crowd that hangs out over there (albeit it's a much lower traffic site than this one).

It took me a while to get used to all the quirky parts of this simple game but I managed a high score. The movement is rather choppy and I got frustrated because I kept falling off the ledges but it was entertaining. Timothy and Titus looks promising! I may have to check it out this easter.

Thanks for presenting this Clint! I only glanced at the Timothy and Titus sit a few months back but this looks really great!

ArcAngel didn't make Catechumen -- he just owns it. Catechumen (I believe) was made by N'Lightning, but I don't remember seeing Ralph Bagley post on CCN yet (the guy behind N'Lightning), so I didn't include him in the list above.

ArcAngel: Groovy -- glad to hear you're making a team! If you can't get enough people to make a CCN team, there may be space on my team. Don't forget you have to register at their forums.

HeardTheWord: Arrgh! You took my high score! :-P You said you got *a* high score, I didn't know you meant *the* high score. *grumble* Anyways, good job! I look forward to retaking the lead. BTW, if you'd like to win a prize, I think you need to sign up and register at their forums and register your team name. I'd like to see at least one or two teams from CCN form.

Glad to see you all playing the game and enjoying it!

I'm not sure how to answer your question more than I did in the initial post. The thing that I'm posting about here is a small web-browser game that was made to promote the upcoming game "Timothy & Titus: Saints and Martyrs", which is a full-size game that is coming out this Easter. Basically I was just posting about a contest that you can enter to win this cool new Christian game that's coming out. Check out the White Knight Games website for a trailer and more information.

Cheers!

First come first serve -- Jari and you (ArchAngel) took up the last two spots on my team. So if another CCN team wants to form (HeardTheWord isn't on a team that I'm aware of, and he's amazing at this game), that would be excellent!

Matt: I *finally* took back your score! Hah! 7450 -- finished in 1:14 w/ 1 life left. Phew.

Ok I have registered at their site now. I hope to win free copy of the game so that I can give it to my unsaved brother who plays a lot.

So anyone else on here want to set up a team (now that I'm addicted to this thing)? I'm registered as POLSoft on the White Knight Games forum.

Hey, Eric! Good to see you're still around! This reminds me of how we still really need to hang out again sometime soon. Do you think you'll be able to go to the CGDC this year? They just set the dates, and we bought our tickets. I'm not sure if they announced it on the website yet, but I think it's going to be 5/17-5/20 (that's what my plane tickets are for, anyways).

Cheers!

And the individual winner for week one is...

FIREMAKER! Grats! He had a great score of 7500, which I can attest to is very impressive. That one came out of the blue -- he wasn't on the high score board all week, and then on the last day he jumped out of the chute to nab the first prize for an individual. Great job! Firemaker gets 25% off of the retail price of the game, and is currently the leader to win a free platinum pack of the game for having the highest individual score in the game.

The team winner for the first week goes to the only organized team on the WK games forums (at the time -- though there are more signing up now) -- Knights of Honor. That team consists of Clint (myself), Tonnyx (my wife), ArchAngel and Jari. We each win a free copy of the game, to be delivered when the game is released on Easter of this year.

I hope more of you can participate and win some great prizes! The score boards have been reset, so if you had a hard time getting on the high score board before because Jari and I were playing it too addictively, you will now have a much better shot.

Cheers!

In Christ,
clint

I can't even buy it... and yet, I'm the one who wins...
It's a weird world, alright.
Edit: If you ever beat your score, may you put in my name please. PLEASE.
I don't think I'll be able to beat that, although I'll try.

FM, your best bet is to join a team with POLSoft and HTWord -- if you guys were all on a team and entered your names as such on the high score list, you would totally win this week.

HanClinto: we definitely do need to get together again. Email me off-forum and let's set something up. As for the conference, I'd love to go, but as usual don't know if I'm going to be able to make it or not.

HTWord, FM: Sorry, I haven't set up a team yet. If one of you wants to / can do that, I will go ahead and join when I get home tonight. If neither of you get a chance to, I will try to set one up myself when I get home (I'd do it at work, but I forgot my forum password).
