Allright, this is the game idea Quest is going with for our first game.

In the year 2382 an alien race (still unnamed) comes to Earth to conquer it. In the year 3017 they completelly take over everything and crushed any hope of rebelion. By getting rid of all govornmentand religion the people have nothing to fight for and no one rebels. Now its the year 5376 and all religion has been totally forgotten. The main character (still unnamed) Finds an old bible and reads through it. He discovers the truth and gives his life to Christ. After that experiance, he quietly goes around and witnesses to others in his town. Once he gets a group of beleivers that is large enough, they spring the aliens and take back their town. Soon word spreads of this and others become interested. You lead your group of rebels to other towns and countries, witnessing and fighting all the way.

The game involves you going around and sharing Christ with all the world and starting a mass rebelion against the alien forces, who get tougher as you go further into the game. I have a really cool fighting system in mind. Normally it is like a third person shooter, right behind the character. but during large battles you can enter command posts and then it becoms like an RTS. So, what do you guys think?

Yeah, no fighting usually repels the non-christian audiances. And lots of people are attracted to games with aliens in them... so I think its a good storyline to attract some non-christians to play it.

oh, and firemaker, i was wondering if you could make me some textures. You seem to be pretty famous around here for it . The game takes place in a post apocalyptic world, so everything is burnt looking and crumbley. Also i need some metals and most important skin. If you could do this it would be GREATLY appreceated.

EDIT: Meant Ereon, oops

hey ppl, I seem to be in a pickle... I cant figure out how to import objects into Torque O_O. Also, I am having trouble with skeletal animation in blender. Whenever I put in the skeleton and activate it, it never affects all of the mesh. Can anyone help me with all this?

Well, I'm almost done with the alien model. Heres what it loks like now:

I made it look sharper and meaner. I still need to work on the feet and hands, but overall I think it looks a LOT better.

Hmm, I know in Caligari GameSpace you need to attach the skeletal system to the mesh (and then some tweaking needs to be done to fix any problem areas). Perhaps something similar is needed in blender? Sorry, thats as much help as I have on this subject.

Haha, I forgot about ths thread . Woah... I like spammed it up big time! Four consecutive posts? woah... lol, but yeah. Thanks for the help. I still don't know how to skeletally animate meshes, but I am working on mastering texturing and UV mapping right now. All that other stuff will come later . Oh, and I know how to import models into torque now, so no worries there. I have made a blogspot for the game, which can be found at http://relicthegame.blogspot.com/ . Any help would be greatly appreciated, as right now I am the only person doing much of anything on this game. If you have any skills you want to contribute, just PM me
