Hey! The download didn't seem to work -- does FreeWebs allow direct links? --clint |

Right-click and select to save the file Thanks for the heads-up on that. |

Still not working. It looks like when I do that, FreeWebs takes the referring page and returns that to the requester (so clicking on the link opens a new window that is this thread, and right-click saving that link saves the HTML for this page). So I get a 17KB file that says it's the zip file, but if you open it up, it's just HTML. Cheers! --clint Edit: Btw, I'm using Firefox, 1.0.7 [This message has been edited by HanClinto (edited November 21, 2005).] |

Just tested it. Clicking the link just reloads this page. If I right-click and select to save, it starts downloading a 7Mb file. Could be a FF issue. Try copy-pasting the file address into your browser's address bar? |

Pasting it into the browser *did* work. When you click on a link, most browsers send information with that link request that says what page you're coming from. My guess is that Freewebs doesn't allow external linking, but in the case of anonymous linking (by just pasting the link into the URL bar), it will let that through. Cheers! --clint |

Tried it out, nice game! I played it a number of times, and the highest I got was 5/6. Sometimes, it seems like the jetpack runs out of juice even though I'm firing it, and it's like it lets me go downwards even though I'm firing it full-blast. Other than that, lots of fun! I'm impressed you were able to make a full side-scroller with just one button! --clint |

Well yes you have limited fuel (the green bar on the left). Collecting a red gas tank will give you some more but you have to watch quite carefully since fuel is consumed quite rapidly. The best technique seems to be to use short bursts and keep low to the platform below you since the jet gives less lift as you get higher. Unless you got fuelpacks and couldn't still fly long enough? |

I re-hosted the file; all problems should be gone. I just tried to play and couldn't find the 6th pills either! I'm sure I have completed it but I keep falling in the sea next to a laser or something stupid. So a challenge - can anybody complete it, and if so in what time? |

Okay, cool, thanks! I'll re-download it and let you know what I think. --clint |
