Why don't you go to sleep? I hope you have already. ------------------ Unless the LORD builds the house, they labor in vain who build it; unless the LORD keeps the city, the watchman stays awake in vain. - Psalms 127:1 [This message has been edited by jari (edited September 22, 2005).] |

The best way I have found to fall asleep is to read a very large, boring book that you cannot stand. But the key is to not stop from boredom, just reading and reading until you are to the phase of sleepiness that if you shut your eyes they don't open up again, lol. I uesed to have the hardest time sleeping, mostly from the fact I spent the last 10 years of my life staying up as much as possible, so my body has gotten used to very little sleep, and I could never get to sleep before midnight, but with help from a very dear friend, I am now on a ten at night to seven in the morning sleep routine, lol. But reading boring books helps you get to bed in case you are not able to. ------------------ |

I found that Reading programming book can put me to sleep... not that they're boring (though some of them can be), but that they're not action filled. I stayed to till 11 last night finishing a schoolbook (reading) that was really good, thankfully I don;t have a sleeping problem. Also my mom makes me get off the comp at nine and read a book till 10/11. She says that the screen keeps you from getting a good nights rest and she's probably right! ------------------ |

Yes I agree with that, usually if I get off my computer at least an hour before I go to sleep it helps me fall asleep. Also I move around alot as I am going to sleep and I found that if I just stay in one spot I will fall asleep quicker than if I am tossing and turning. ------------------ |

Man, RM, you need sleep. Working on a game is no justification for harming your body by staying up. Trust me I know, lol, it is not worth it. As far as experimenting with sleep, I have done almost everything, lol. It got so bad once that Dedicatedrider's mom thought I looked like a zombie everytime we saw each other, lol. Definitely not good to not get any sleep, lol. ------------------ |

quote: Then don't use the comp past nine. I don't remember the URL but there's an articel saying that mellatonin (stuff that helps you sleep and sleep well) is "destroyed" by screens and light. So the eariler the screen's off, the quicker you sleep. I keep telling my mom that I don't havea a problem with that but she said when your 18 do whatever you want. ------------------ |

No matter how old you are, may it be 12... or 85 (or any age in between, or <,or > ) you need to have your life in check and in control of your actions. You must be able to be held accountable for your actions, and be responsible for any and all consequences from your actions, may they be good or bad. All it means when you turn eightteen is that you are one year less then nineteen. You still have to respect your parents (God said so)< you still have to Obey the Lord, and you still have to act like a Christian (asking yourself the question "What Would Jesus Do?" before any major decisions helps, trust me it does.) ------------------ |

Are you sugesting i've done something?? ------------------ Blessed are those who show mercy. Blessed are those who suffer for doing what is right. |

No, RM, I would never assume anything has been done without reasonable evidence. All I am saying is that even though you think that when you turn eightteen life will be easy, life will be What YOU make it... just remember who made YOU! ------------------ |

awww man... now Im afraid i might change... i LIKE myself, i LIKE being different... (well, none of my friends programm, and (in reference to the Girls... ... thread) all of my (guy) friends have kissed a girl... (um.. not sure thats too desirable right now...) ------------------ Blessed are those who show mercy. Blessed are those who suffer for doing what is right. |
Gamer4Christ Member Posts: 551 From: Kokomo, Indiana, USA Registered: 07-19-2005 |
Just because you are going to change, does not mean that you are not going to still be unique, even though we all have the same basic stuff we should be doing, the Lord created us all unique. I do not know anybody else (besides people from here) that program, and as far being different then your guy friends, I applaud you on that. The first time you ever kiss a girl should be after you say the words "I Do" (Reference to a wedding of course, lol) But being different is not a bad thing, I do not know anyone that is like me at all, and I am proud of that because I am different. ------------------ [This message has been edited by gamer4christ (edited September 24, 2005).] |

hmm.. after you say "I do" eh??? i dunno, that IS kinda hard nowadays... and you have to wonder: (or i do at least, you know your GF lol) do they WANT you to kiss them before you say "I do"?? if not, im FINE WITH THAT! P.S. we need a contemplative simily up there... too many ones of the same kind.. we've got two mad, 4 smiling, 3 giving razzes, 3 sad ones, an... ALIEN?!?!, 3 "cool" ones... 3 sad ones... 1 laughing one, and two confused... too many of the same kind i tell you! ------------------ Blessed are those who show mercy. while I personally am not going to wait till the "I do's" for the first kiss (unless my gf would want to... I'm don't feeled called to do it), I do have respect for those who are called to do it and hold out till the end. ------------------ |

"Eh, groom! Pucker up!" "well... umm..." "wadya MEAN 'umm...'?!?!?!" "well, I-I've never done this before..." "...oh great, a groom who can't kiss his bride!" "i can do it, its just... well..." (g4c i am NOT mocking you, i just had that funny idea that that can happen!) ------------------ Blessed are those who show mercy. Blessed are those who suffer for doing what is right. |
