I finally got it. THanks to paypal (which accepts bank accounts and credit cards. We had credit cadrd probs so the bank account option for paying thru paypal was helpful). I haven't done anything yet, but it's: www.jqsoftware.com. I also had it set up with Apache (Linux hosted. IF you haven't figrued out, I like linux for most of my daily work on the comp.) I'd like the members of CCN to be 'beta testers' if you will. Visiting my site and telling me that something sucks or is really good, etc. ------------------ My Email is: |

Hey, Is this hosted on your Linux box? I would suggest updating to Apache 2 if i were you. Compile the source yourself as well, more options and more control then a package manager controlled install. You should be doing that anyways with Slackware... Slackpkg is pretty lame and swaret is pretty awful to. Meh. --D-SIPL ------------------

I tested it, it works, and all it has is some folders. But I think that is intended. I tested it with Win XP Pro. |

go there again and see what my testing folder is like (not finished). No I'm paying for a Apache 1.3.33 server @ $ 10 a year with 125 MB of disk space. ------------------ My Email is: |

Looking good man. I got given 8 static ip's by my ISP recently which was nice, so now hosting stuff on my box. I did setup an IRC server a few weeks ago which is running (using Hybrid), but its pretty much a development platform for a few projects im working on. I just messed up my xorg.conf after recompiling my kernel. I accidentally took the default window manager as well.. KDE, its so bloated, nasty. /me compiles XFCE4 --D-SIPL ------------------

Fedora and Ubuntu, what is wrong with you people :P I'm not a huge fan of "the in" distro's with there little annoyances, e.g. bad directory structure, rpm, half baked config utilities. Not to mention the drawbacks of 486 packages. meh each to their own My dev box (out of interest): I think thats about it. I use eric3 for my Python IDE, sometimes IDLE. Just out of interest, you may want to consider as a project, building a LFS (Linux From Scratch) system and rolling your own Christian Linux Distro with all the tools needed for a church on it. heh it tickled me at the time of thinking about it... --D-SIPL ------------------
