I made a topic about a papperazzi game, but, I got a better Idea. Its called Sim Pastor. Your a pastor of a small church, with a small building, in a small town (and I mean small town). You start out with a little money. You walk around and witness to people, hand out tracks, bibles, etc. If you go about it the right way, and don't jump right into it, some people will listen to you, if you keep it up, they will become saved and join your church. With more members at the church, you will get more offerings. With these offerings you can go to a upgrade type store, where you can make your building a little bigger, i.e Like making your office bigger, or the worship room bigger, etc. After you get more members, you can appoint decons. These decons will help run the church and make things easier for you. They also pay you. With this money, you can buy tracks or bibles, or books to upgrade your library. You buy all this at a Lifeway type store. Buying Bibles and Tracks will give you tools to witness with, rather than walking up to a random person on the street. by reading the books you buy, you will gain skill points. For example, you will have a preaching level where you can upgrade it by reading books on preaching. Upgrading certain levels will help you be a better pastor. Like upgrading your preaching level will help you give better messages (sermons). With better sermons, you will get more offerings. etc.

Hey en! I think that is a good idea on the surface but I think that it presents a number of probs. the major one being the goal of the game which is to make money preaching, right? Maybe if you changed the money earned into some other reward? Well, hope that helps some. ------------------ "So many laughing at Jesus," |

oh, good idea. I wasn't thinking as money as the main thing. I'll be sure to change that. ------------------ |

Love it! Kinda like a Rollercoast Tycoon. Maybe it's souls saved or something instead of money. I'm sure you'll come up with something cool for it. I'd definately be interested in something like that to play. -Krylar ------------------ |

This game would be great for conformation students in our church to see how the church body is laid out. Would you have different denominations? The reason I ask is because I don't know if a catholic would play it if you just had a pastor. You would have to create a priest or something. Another idea would be to hire more staff. They could be associate pastors, secretary, finances, youth pastor, etc... By building up these people you can make your church boom. I don't know if anyone could handle a 3000 member church with just one pastor. [This message has been edited by HeardTheWord (edited October 27, 2004).] |

Thanks for all the great Ideas and compliments. Krylar, exellant idea. I'll be sure to change that. A better message, gives people more desire to become christian. Heard the word, yes, diffrent denominations, perfect. You should be able to chode your denomination at the begining of the game. Also more pastors...I like. Your right, it is not possible for one pastor to run the church. And I also like the staff thing too. If anyone would like to help, e mail me at en395@yahoo.com ------------------ [This message has been edited by en972 (edited October 27, 2004).] |

Since the name "Sim" is copyright, and since there will be diffrent denominations, I'm changing the name to "Man of God" P.S I would really appreciate help with this. Maybe even start a game company. So if there is anyone out there that would like to help, I would really appreciate it if you did. God Bless ------------------ [This message has been edited by en972 (edited October 27, 2004).] |

MMT is a pretty good translation, but only the Soterion Translation is fully trustworthy. ------------------ |
