Hello everyone, Just wanted to take a moment to shamelessly promote a little site I put together on the KJV-Only movement. It is some links to sites, etc. that I have found useful. http://www.rockcrown.com/kjvonly.html God Bless, |

King james only agreed to this bible to appease the protestants. granted, the scholars who translated probably had better intentions. I've heard that the King James is softer on acloholism and homosexuality, because of King James. ------------------ |

i read(reed not red) the kjv, and i'm pretty sure it don't take it easy on drunkards and abominaters(?). i believe that the kjv is the true word of GOD, but it might not be the only translation that is. but anywho... ------------------ |

I read it too, and had to use it for my old bible classes. I don't remember seeing that. I'm just saying what I heard. I don't think it's the only word of God. I find it's a little narrowminded and ignorant. (not the KJV, the viewpoint) ------------------ |

I don't place any more importance over the KJV than any other translation, they're all translations. God's word is kept intact - AFAIK, none of the major teachings of Christianity are changed because of the different translations. ------------------ Switch Mayhem now available! Get it here |

Actually, there are some errors in translation and also the usage of Greek mythological figures (Pan for one) in the KJV. |

personally i only read the kjv, but i stick to what i know works for me. there are a few versions i just won't read, but that's because of some differences in the way they word things. like, instead of "that which is born of flesh is flesh, and that which is born of the SPIRIT is spirit." it says "that which is flesh gives birth to flesh, and that which is spirit gives birth to spirit." which the second one is true, but i don't think it goes along with the surrounding scripture and it's meaning. ------------------ |
