Using the King James Bible, I ran a word count through a computer program I made and the most used words in the Bible in order are: LORD God said upon man Israel hath king

A new Bible Code system! Publish the results, give the method a name and you'll be famous! That is pretty amazing though. Curry |

corection my friend, this is not a code system, I merely checked what are the highest re-occuring words in the Bible or the most used words and the words above came in direct order to each other. Once I finish the program I will publish it so you can run it yourself and see it. What is really is an electronic concordance. If you have a concordance, then look it up and you will see the same thing. Most occuring words are: The LORD God said upon man that Israel has a king!!! amazing, that king is my king too. In fact, here is some other statistical data that I worked up: The word Lord (Adonai) is used 1,123x, but LORD (Yahweh) is used 6,459 times David is used more times in the Bible than any other person, it occures 1,072 times. + 55 (David's) Jesus is a second most mentioned person in the Bible, second to LORD, Lord, and God. It is used 883 times. the word Christ is used 553 time. Jesus + Christ is mentioned 1,436 times. Moses is the fourth person most mentioned, and is used 824 times, almost as much as the word Jesus. |

I have two questions, just out of curiosity: 1. Why are there numbers beside most of the words, but not beside "upon" and "hath"? 2. How long until you share the program? Can it be used with other documents, or just the KJV? Will you also share the source code? Thanks, ------------------ |

I'm thinking about releasing the source but it would be in VB.NET. I am very close to finishing the program, I just need to optimize it. Right now It goes through the entire Bible in 30 seconds with hardly any memory hog. The reason I left out the word count on some of the words is because in later versions I filtered them out because they were common words (too common). Anyone can hack into the filter file and change it though. I will keep you guys posted. While you wait, you can visit my website for existing software. (http://bb.1asphost.com/stuartzahn/). The software was designed to work for a Bible. The King James Bible is included with the program because it is public domain, although there are many other translations out there that are public domain, it would be costly to include them all in the program. The software will not work for other documents and it would be a catastrophe if someone changed the code to do that. Although the program's algorithm's might help somebody. Ask me about them, or maybee I'll post them on my website. |

A little of topic, but if you list the months in the year, starting from July, and take the first letter of each, you get: July Which happens to be my name! [This message has been edited by AmazingJas (edited May 08, 2004).] |

you take the meaning of the names of the genelogy in the bible between adam and noah and you get this - this gospel Adam Man put that together and you get Man (is) appointed mortal sorrow; (but) the Blessed God shall come down teaching (that) His death shall bring (the) despairing rest. cool aye.. this in my kind of bible code (rather than grabbing every 5th letter or whatever working out that on the 23rd of march 2004 george bush will pick his nose on camera , or other such nonsense (i do believe there are codes in the bible, based on letters etc.. they are definately there, but they are rather like CRC checksums for files, they validate the integrity of the books, showing that they haven't been changed. but thats another story. ------------------ |

Yeah, that is definatley awesome guys, both of those findings This is a little off topic, and may not be as goosebump welding but look at this. I bet some of you already know about this but look: KJV ------------------ |

pillaroftruth, I can only assume that your name is meant ironically, because the information you have provided is completely false. Here are the twenty most common words in the King James version of the Bible, with the number of occurrences in parentheses.

goop2, the twin towers in america being hit by the planes...that's what a lot of people believe it is refering to. i don't know for sure(i haven't prayed and studied it, and don't really care to), but i disagree with them. ------------------ www.gfa.org - Gospel for Asia www.persecution.com - Voice of the Martyrs |

Yes you are right benny. That's what I was reffering to, I'm not sure if it has anything to do with 9/11, it's kinda similar though, but a bit on the vague side. From what I see, it looks like it is concerning Jerusalem. ------------------ |

I thought of the twin towers too at first but...

The way I remember it, when the towers collapsed, debris and dust swept across the water in a big kind of smog cloud (I think). So that could be something to do with the water. |

I doubt that it's referring to WTC because if it was a great slaughter, there's no word for Hiroshima, as example. |

I got my e-sword out and most commentators have these 'towers' as belonging to the enemies of God: Assyrians, Babylon, Antichrist.. I would *hope* you both aren't right. twin towers-9/11 = Towers. America =???? Yikes! |
Jari Member Posts: 1471 From: Helsinki, Finland Registered: 03-11-2005 |
One thing you have notice when thinking about the towers is that the attackers decided the day. |
