every conference or gather announced on here is so far away! i don't really play chess that often. my short attention span and lack of focus makes it hard to play a game based on play by play strategy. ------------------ |

there is no need for chess when you can get 8 people linked together and and play Civilization III or Empire Earth, or Even good old Starcraft for that matter. ------------------ |

i love starcraft and its subtle strategies, however don't be so quick to diss chess, it has simple rules, limitied peices but an amazing complex strategy.. the whole so many stages ahead forethought, counterattacks, silence, pressence, working out hte strategy of the opposition player. b.t.w anybody ever play archon, archon 2 on commodore 64? ------------------ |

i guess ur right. no i never played archon... chess is fun for a while, but only when i am really into it. if im half watching tv, or somehting, it just drags on u really have to focus, or be anhiallated. ------------------ |
