yeah that's the plan... I'm really looking forward to getting it finished... but from my outline of the story as a hole... its far from finished... based on what i have already written, and my outline... I've just started. I estimate it being about 200 - 300 pages and as you can see I'm only on 40 something.

I have along way to go.

Sky, I had a look at your script and it feels like it would make a good movie. Don't take this as a negative, I thought your dialogue was well written and would transalate well to a movie format rather than an RPG. What you might consider, is learning how to use a rapid development 3D animation tool like Doga L3 (www.doga.co.jp/english), or maybe make an internet delivered movie using Macromedia FLash? Just my immediate thoughts, but if your heart is set on making a game, go right ahead, and best wishes to you.
Cheers.

You know, the thought had occured to me... the silly thing is.. while writting this silly stupid thing it plays out like a movie in my mind but truely I think that's where the Genra of RPG's is headed... if you take a look at some of the latest RPGs there Gameplay is more consistant with a Movie Type presentation (Final Fantasy 10) than that of the ol' Action in a Text Box based Final Fantasy 1 game if you get my drift. Really, I've made up my mind that the final Product is going to be A RPG but the means at which that comes about... is still to be decided. (Got to have funding from somewhere hehe)

Marcus,

I'm thankful that you are making progress. God be with you.

FYI, you could probably prototype this somewhat quickly in a text adventure, development kits are freely available:

I'd love to sign up to help you but I have way too many irons in volcanoes at the moment!

Look to Jesus,
Tim

Hay when is the next CCC thing going to happen? I'm just wandering so I can see if I can plan to be there. I may be writing novles non-stop but I still love game construction.

HEY Tim, long time no talk hehe I'm still checking out the yahoo group.. but it seems to have slowed down abit... I dont' get much for emails from the posts as I did... hmmm.... maybe I missed something.

Anyway, you know what i intend to do..is keep writing on this story... it's getting really deep and involved. the funny thing is, as I'm writing it.. I can make interesting paralles to what's happening in my life, it kinda freaked me out at first but then I realized that alot of writers do that... but, if you would have asked my 12th grade English teacher.... I'm no writer... I graduated with a D+ in English... and that was just barly.
but there's something about seeing a scene, seeing something in your mind and then trying your hardest to write it down... and get it so that you can use other people's imaginations to reproduce what you see. I find it facinating even though I couldn't spell the word.

Anyway, I feel that this story is going to be really long... and from what I understand of movies scripts and such... it should when it's done make about two 1hour and 30 min Movies... when played out with all the Goodies and such...

I have to say... the Theme of Oppression is something really easy to write about.

Let me know your thoughts.

That's cool, more power to you! I've just about finished playing NeverWinter Nights (co-op with friends all the way through), and I guess I've just had enough interactive story to last me a long time LOL. I either want to just sit back in the recliner and watch a good story, or blast some baddies to bits! Cheeers.
