Hampton Court Palace Flower Show

Ever heard of it?

Hampton Court Palace is a couple of miles down the road from where I live so naturally I took my mum and my wife over there yesterday

It was a splendid show, incredible roses, amazing garden shows, fabulous food, champagne and very very civilised and polite people

The show goes on for quite a few days but the first 2 days are reserved for members only, wehay I'm a member and bought 3 reserve tickets believing that I would be SUCH a good bloke to take my 2 special ladies out for the day

and they WOULD have loved it, they would have thought the world of me for going to the trouble of sorting out such a GREAT DAY, except for one thing

THERE were thousands and thousands of people pouring into there, SO MANY in fact, that if there had been a panic - I don't know - a falling tree or whatever, we would have had nowhere to go we were literally hemmed in on all sides by PEOPLE, very very crowded

it is the SHEER GREED of the organisers who deliberately sold TWICE the amount of tickets that would have made the event comfortable, as it was it was RUINED
I looked at show gardens FOUR ROWS back and had no chance of getting a decent views, there were QUEUES of people EVERYWHERE and everything was just jam packed and of course, nobody will leave because we have all paid!!

I hate these greedy organisers, sheer greed that's all it is, what a shame

the show ended at 7.30pm and it was only at 6pm that we noticed the terrible crowds were beginning to thin out, we were just exhausted and depressed
of course we got some enjoyment out of it, the flowers and gardens were in abundance and top quality - but just TOO MANY PEOPLE, we went along the long lake which had hundreds of chairs set out, every single chair was taken with people actually WAITING for somebody to leave their chair, it was snapped up in seconds, what quality of enjoyment is that??

I feel quite annoyed about it, why do these organisers always see £££££s and not the result of their policy??

No probably not. It's not really my kind of music, it's got very Indie recently, i like more metal and rock, Punk and Ska.

I like Download festival better really.
