<Apologies - this should've been posted here. The deadline will be set for July 12th but may be extended further if prizes remain. Yes, only a week but "keep it brief" should be your mantra.>

Thanks to generous donors, we can offer some scholarships to smaller
development teams. The prize list that you can win from is:
The Torque engine and content packs
The Reaction Engine
ClickTeam's Multimedia Fusion Pro and Jamagic

Open to the CGD community, an opportunity for newer developers or teams of
developers to obtain some tools to further their work. If you have
shipped/released two titles, you are in the "experienced" category. A
proposal will need to be submitted. The proposed project doesn't have to
be an overtly Christian title. Being part of the community qualifies you.

Information you will need to provide (use Word or RTF):
+ Proposal - a brief overview of an upcoming project or tool (2 pages
max). Timeframe of release is not critical, as long as it is being
actively worked on.

+ Be sure to have an appropriate title as that will be published with the winners list.

+ What your top prize choice would be. And your Second choice.

+ Person name or team name, company name if applicable.

+ Brief background information (that will be used to publish on the web
site and possibly press releases)

+ contact information

+ Your submission can be kept confidential if requested so. However, be sure you word your title such that it can be freely published, as well as your name/company name.

Deadline for proposal information is July 12th. Send to Tim@cgdc.org and it will be reviewed by a panel of CGDers. We were hoping to be able to announce the winners at the conference. We'll probably announce those that have won - but keep accepting proposals if prizes remain.

Next, consideration has been given to award a "Contribution of the year" - so anything new since last July. So, this covers whether it was a game or a software tool. It has been suggested to nominate "persons" like B. Huff of Wisdom Tree for marketing advances for our industry - this is still being debated but please nominate those as well just in case we include them. Email to Tim@cgdc.org please.

Send in your nominations by July 12th and we'll set up a poll for the
community to vote. The prize may be one of the previously mentioned or
something else. If you have a good idea for a prize or can offer something unique, let us know.

We'll be having a "farthest travelled" for the conference award as
well. Not sure what a good prize would be for that. Do you have any
suggestions?

Cute Insane! I wished I could afford that! Please send any sugar daddy sponsors that can contribute like that.

However, I challenge you to find a more economical conference where all you pay is your share of the actual costs. There will be no profit derived from this (and I'll probably go in the hole).

Any other suggestions for prizes?
BenGay (or SportsCreme) for their sore butt from flying so far on the plane?

Also, if you'd like to make nominations for the contribution of the year, let me know. Would anyone like to nomination ChristianCoders.com ??

If you are working on an entry, get it in soon!

Good news, more prizes:
nPower Software's Graphic Plug-ins (npowersoftware.com)

Just specify what prize you want in the proposal.

Note that we will probably continue the contest after the conference since we may have some left over prizes.

God bless,
Tim
