It is really good to hear that more people are going this year. At last the big companies seem to be taking violence in games seriously. ------------------ |

Well, for a good game there needs to be a conflict of some type, and for most game genres that includes some level of violence. I think it is really the overwhelming tide of games that are becoming more and more vicious in their portrayal of what is just a game. I mean, even here most of the games being made do have violence even if it is usally a case of "whack the evil demon". |

Yah dad told me about it. I think I mentioned that in the e-mail that I sent you but cant really remmember at the momment. Basicly all that was in it was qustions about whats going on, how your kids are doing, stuff about the confrence, and other whatnots. I think thats the short of it. Oh BTW your pic looks nothing like what I thought you would look like. The one on your web page. You look so young. Just like me, babyfaced. ~Angel~ |

Lol! I'm a babyface! ;-) Well, I am older than I look. And I have the beard that I think Matt called cheesy. I'll have to dig for your Email. We are mostly fine, kids are growing. Please be praying for the conference. Tim ------------------ |

What-what-what!?!? CHEEZY? Say it ain't so. I have a beard too. My little girl gets a kick out of every bearded person we know. Like the Rev. across the street (who also married my wife and I). His son in law who is a missionary in africa and linquist has a beard. His son in Gurmany has one and his missionary son in Mexico has one as well. Beards are cool! If someone wants to look like a pop-star thats their thing. I would rather look like Moses or Paul. Anyways I think I've ragged enough on the non-bearded folk. Thanks for the semi-answers Tim. |

"Well, for a good game there needs to be a conflict of some type, and for most game genres that includes some level of violence." I agree that games in general are getting more violent. My son enjoys playing the demo disks on the front of magazines. Just lately, however, I have had to guide him into not playing more and more demos. Don't get me wrong, I have always had to guide him, but now I have to guide him more frequently. I think that when the first Christian game hits the big time, it will be a benchmark for the games industry. They will realise that a game doesn't have to be violent to sell. At the moment, most games are bought by males between the age of 14-35. These violent games in general don't apeal to females or the Pacman generation. They want fun and not to be traumatised. ------------------ |
