Go grab today's (17th) issue of the Wall Street Journal! My wife bought 5 copies and has been calling everyone about it. Josh - can we post the article or do we have to get permission from WSJ? For the short term, I have it online but I won't do a web link to it so folks can read it (warning a little over a megabyte jpeg). http://www.graceworksinteractive.com/cgnow/MediaCoverage/WallStreetJournalDec17-2002.JPG Glory to God! ------------------ |

Dude I have seen the article and am so stoked about it. This is just so awsome I mean the LORD works in such mysterious ways. If you think about it having the article in the Wall Street Journal means that businessmen and women and potential investors will actualy hear about the christian game developing companies and the products and might think that "Hey this has some potential". Fitrst the business world, and then the gaming world. |

I don't mean to be a downer, but... Did u realize that "Jesus" was only mentioned once and He WAS NOT the theme. I hope you all realize that the focus of the article was about non-violent video games and not so much about Jesus. Although this was not as bad as the New York Times article i saw, but still. THAT IF OUR GAMES ONLY EMPHASIZE NON-VIOLENCE AND "VIRTUE" IT JUST ISN'T GOOD ENOUGH. Christ ALWAYS has to be THEE focus and anthing else is nothing. Sorry for being such a killjoy, but THE WORLD MUST KNOW WHO CHRIST JESUS IS! ------------------ |

quote: And they will know, when they play the games! That’s why we are creating them! The labels ‘family friendly’ and ‘virtue’, etc. are windows/doors for us to use. This is a good step for both the industry and people. A secular newspaper won’t publish the salvation message or anything related to Christianity on there, I’m surprised they even published this! People are going to come back to some bad memory about church/christians, or be drawn back if someone immediately shows the salvation message to them. If I went out into the street and took someone aside and layed it all out for them, they would think I was a religious nutcase out to get them. You first plant a seed, then God works on that, were not called to go out and “make Christians” were told to go out and to share the Word. (Mark 16:15) All in Gods time InsanePoet, the world will know God in His time, not ours. We are excited because He is so good to us and this opens a door for people to check it all out! ------------------ |

After having a discussion with InsanePoet he's just concerned that people are going to percieve: non-violent = christian and get lead way, or that Christian developers will focus on non-violence and not on Christ. This is a concern for all developers, something that we continosly try in our hearts as we develop Christian games. The only thing we can do is let God lead our paths, and we'll be of best use. ------------------ |

It is always good to be recognized and given a moment of review. I pray the Lord gets all the glory and His will be done as programmers build and use their gifts to glorify the Lord. |
