Hiya,

I'm working on getting the CCN T-Shirts going and I need some feedback on an image for the back of the shirt.

I'm sticking with the circle graphic, but I would like to get your take on the outlying frame. We've been toying with the following ideas:

1) leave it a thorned-frame
2) make it more computer-ish (wires, cables) and relying on the cross and name to be symbolic enough
3) make it just a standard frame and relying on the cross and name to be symbolic enough

Thoughts?

I think the vines look cool. Though I do see that something more techy might go better with it. I love the light and the circle, but the letters and the cross look a bit bland/flat. Maybe make them a little more 3d or more of a beveled edge?

Also, a cooler font for the URL would look awesome. Even Arial would look better IMHO.

Anyway, just my thoughts,
BlazeQ

I like the thorns as well, although the wires would be cool also. I like the idea of there being a more 3D look to it, although I am not an artist and I'm not sure exactly what that would mean it just sounds cool. I want one regardless of how they turn out. Please let me know how to purchase one when they are ready.

I love it Krylar! How big were you thinking?

Also, I finally got the "generic" version of logo from the conference (she forgot to add one thing ... and as we discussed, possibly adding your logo - the one that is at the top of your web page). Argh, my web is acting up at the moment so can't link it in -> it is basically the conference logo with the year & word "conference" removed (larger of course-printed at full 8.5" x 11"!):

So, where are the marketing folks when we need them? Do we want to do co-branding or can most Christian Coders buy two shirts? FYI, using a thermal transfer (one side), I should be able to get shirts done locally for under $10 per shirt (then there is the pain of shipping to everyone, etc.).

Let me know what you think Krylar,
Tim

Sounds great! The same artist that's doing the above image is re-doing the main CCN logo as well. So as soon as we feel it's ready to go, I'll let you know!

Thanks

I like the thorns as well... but I do agree that the letters look a bit flat, and I'd add that it's probably not necessary to have the "http://www." part on there... I'd prefer "ChristianCoders.com" without all that (or maybe www.ChristianCoders.com) so that it could be a little bigger...

When can we get one?

Woot ^_^ i like it, would prefur a techie look, but that one will do. What about... 2 VERsionS ? ^_^ i'd be willing to buy 2 T's ^_^ What about putting our larger graphic on the back of the shirt (the one in the middle of the screen, on the top)? I like that one as much as the small ones.

no idea on shipping costs, but should be under 5 a piece if you send it USPS. i think closer to 3. around $4 flat rate if you send it in a priority mail small box (the ones you buy at the post office), but u would have to fold them small ^_^

Along these lines, there is a deal on MousePads for this month.

How many would want a mousepad with the Christian Game Developer version (Krylar has given me permission to add his Christian Coders Network logo)? Instead of filling up this forum, you can just Email me saying "I'll take one (or two)" - tim@graceworksinteractive.com

I'm estimating $10 or less by the time I mail it to you (if you are in U.S.). Hopefully less with the sale.

I was hoping to hear back from the local shop on how much they would charge for mousepads, but I haven't yet. So I may run with the sale for at least 10 or so + how ever many you CCN folks want.

Heya,

I know I've been lax in my duties of getting these going. Feo has done the graphics (thanks FEO!) and all that...but I just haven't found time to do stuff.

I am on vacation this coming week, so I should have ample time to get the store going.

Thanks for the interest and sorry for the delay!

Wow, I completely missed this thread when it came around the first time in August. That is one sweet graphic. Could you post all the variations of the graphic on here, or would you be worried about the thread taking too long to load then?

Hiya,

Good news and bad news:

Good news: The Cafepress stuff is almost ready to go. I'm just waiting to see if I can get some of the items pinned up with the thorned CCN graphic and the piped one, for some additional options.

Bad news: Cafepress only offers white shirts, so there won't be any black ones...sorry! :/

Should be up within the next couple of days!

Popped onto the CCN and saw the new logo = cool!
Too bad about the no-black shirts, I may still pick one up
