Hey everyone,

It's good to be back again. Just took a bit of time out.

We have lots of exciting things in the pipeline at Graceworks, possibly not for me to say yet, maybe Tim will post the news soon...

Glad to be back!!

Uh oh, I guess that means I'm supposed to know something. Better slip the shades on!

I've been busy with conference planning, but some good news there.

For sure, Jeff Tunnell of GarageGames will be talking and demoing the Torque engine!

A lot of experienced developers are interested and signing up to come.

Josh is helping so we will have a printed program. Plus I'll put a CD-R in the back of each one. Also debating on doing T-shirts for the conference.

What else?

As far as GraceWorks, we are tempted to use either D-Sipl's engine or some of the others (just found out about Renderware, and sent off for a quote - other option is Torque) for a future game. I had not looked much into some of these engines yet but after becoming addicted to Multiplayer Renegade, I'm reconsidering! Plus, I'm told Torque doesn't have to be first person.

Rich, was there something specific you want to share? Oh, we have another programmer interested in helping. That is great news to me!

Ok, Graceworks have got an interview with the BBC, they're the biggest television broadcast company in the UK. The interview is about The Games Industry, and they were very interested in the work we do etc.

So Monday if you can pray for us that would be very much appreciated.

Also we have a new team member at Graceworks, more will be revealed on our website (which is going through a complete re-design at the mo).

Make sure you register for the conference, even i'm trying to get there from England!! It's going to be great i can assure you.

Take care folks!

Hi Tim,

You are right, the Torque engine doesn't have to be first person. I currently have the camera floating around following a marble in the game I'm working on right now. Its pretty powerful. I haven't dug into the multi-player stuff yet. I was hoping one of the Garage Games guys would make it up to Portland. Jeff is a good guy.

I have the posters for conference that I am going to send sitting in front of my desk. They are pretty big! Aidan has a liver biopsy in San Francisco on Wednesday so I'll send them off after what is hopefully only a 24 hour stay in the hospital.

Ah, a new Marble Madness game??

We'll be praying for Aidan ... for a complete healing.

Let me know if you are coming, don't think I have you down on the registered list. I've sent you a regular Email.

The Beeb interviewed you? Wow! Has it been shown yet, or do if not do you have any idea of when it will?

The engine was written in Java, not completed yet, but getting there. Unfortunately it is quite slow, but i kinda wasn't intending on using it, but it was great experience doing it.

The broadcast schedule hasn't been sent to me yet. I think it's going out in Spanish first for the world service. BBC Mundo i think!

Anyways i'll keep you all posted.

I've been here only a little while, but I thought I'd pop-in and say "Welcome back!" all the same.

Sorry mate, haven't touched it for a while. I don't think i'll be using it for a while, my hearts not in it at the moment.

Been looking at a few alternative engines to use for Graceworks, we'll keep you posted. We have a new website on the way (no comments please Tim! Lol) I'll keep you posted on that as well.
