Some really good tips which re-inforced what i've always said to friends (normally the ones that say "i wanna learn programming because i've been playing games since i woz 3, and i can do so much better then them"). anyone cheers mate!! --D-SIPL |

Thanks, D "We've just started doing this EverQuest type game that we plan on launching in January..." Baahahahahaha...I believe it took Verant nearly 4 years to do EQ. I think it's great that people want to do stuff, but their expectations are unfortunely going to get squashed by the realities of the process. We've all been there. I was working on a Wolf-3D type game (in the early 90's) that was to be done in 3 months... baahahahahahaa again. Yeah, that happened. NOT! Anyway, I figured that it was time to set the record straight, at least from my experience. Working on games is still the best gig I've ever had--don't get me wrong--but it's no where near being a piece of cake. Thanks again, -Krylar ------------------ |
