Hi all,

I'm trying to set up the apache web server, so I can host my new website. I'm getting some errors and such. Does anyone have any documenation on how to set this up?

What os are you installing this on; what are your errors??
Also, do you have a static ip, and do you have broadband at least? Also, if you do not have a static ip I take it you are going to use a dynamic DNS. For dynamic dns, I suggest http://www.no-ip.com/. Need more info to help you out properly. God bless you.


Make Note, some broadband companys do not allow you to run a server; unless, you have a business account with them.

Nice. The only problem is you web server won't be able to handle a ton of traffic... but hey, I'd love to have my own server!

Oh hey, I wasn't specific enough but I got it set up. I had to isntall as root.

hey, i know this is kinda an old thread... but... I looked over those docs and they confused me ><. so like, can anyone specifically tell me what i have to do to set apache up?
