i'm thinking about putting up a site of biblical teachings. i've been blessed with a good understanding and ability to study God's word, and i don't really have any other means(or ability) to get them out yet. I was wondering if anyone thinks this might be useful. i'm asking because i know there are several other site out there with this, and several other things on those site...like a million translations of the bible, search tools, and all kinds of neat stuff. i think it could be fruitful, and make use of my talents, i just need some input and advice from people. thanks and God bless to my brothers and sisters in Christ.

Hi.
Yea it could be fruitful. But it takes great knowledge from God to create one.
Hmm, have you thought about making game with lessons? Or do you prefer site?

I'll pray for you that you can make the right decision and do the will of our Father.

God bless.

Just everytime you start your website, try to pray and ask for the Holy Spirit. You will be helped, no dobt about it! I think you are let to do this. It is good to find out your skills and use them for the only important thing that the earth excist. Spread the Word. Jesus wants to save many, also by you as an instrument!

Blessings,

i've got the brainstorm together just now. i think i'm going to do it by topics, instead of going in order. i'm not planning on using verses out of context either(rightly dividing The Word). anyway, some of the topics i'm thinking about having are:

how to be saved(also explaining fall of man/Christ crucifixion/resurrection)
marriage/relationships/sex
forgiveness/unforgiveness
fasting
temptation(resisting, what to do when you fail, etc.)

i plan on using scripture for everything, and only using scripture. i think it will do me good just studying all of this. you'd be suprised sometimes how what you were taught was sin sometimes isn't sin, and visa versa.

forget your password?

Great idea benny! I like your topics. Will there be forums for questions and have you thought of a name for the site? If you made 2 sites, they could be-
guys4jesus.com and gals4jesus.com

Maybe a place where people could post their testimony too, how they came to accept Christ.

yeah i lost my password. i've been trying to get all my e-mail addresses fuctioning(forwarding etc.) so i can actually retrieve it. i'm not sure what i'm going to name the site. i would've like to use "TheHardWay.com" but it's already took. i wanted to use it because i was thinking of how almost everything i learn, i learn it the hard way, very much like dc talks song. i'm walking proof of God's abundant grace and mercy...then again we all are i suppose.

or maybe

walkinproof.com

it's kinda 2 meanings. you said your 'walking proof' of God's abundant grace and mercy. and 'walk in proof' which is kinda what you want to provide on your website - proof from the scriptures for a walk in Christ.

i like the walkinproof.com idea. i've gotten the scriptures together for the forgiveness together, now i need to get started on the writing. once i get all my "lessons" together, then i'll worry about the web design side of things(it's the least important)...i'm putting more on content than on looks, but i still want it to look good.
