First off, this has nothing to do with XrucifiX or TGS directly nor is it a Christian title. On the side I'm working with a group that is expanding their business. As noted in the subject this is a paying position, and we're looking for people to bid on the position. Just so you are aware this ad will also be posted on guru.com so you'll be competing with low-cost but talented people in India and China. I'd prefer to work with someone who I know I can rely on so it's possible we might choose multiple people, including those on CCN, to do the job.

The game is a PBBG. See this reference page:

http://www.pbbg.org/

The game is currently in alpha stage and is being used by a select group of users. The graphics are based upon tiles and are in a fantasy setting. We currently have 16 player models, 43 NPC models (some of them are just colored variations of player models), 60 background tiles, 25 weapon/armor icons (only used in inventory management screens, not in combat).

The alpha version uses a resolution of 36x36 but we are now requiring each tile to be 144x144. The majority of the tiles will be static. For some tiles we may require the tile to be an animated GIF. Be aware that some objects will be slightly modified variants of other tiles, so your pricing should reflect that.

Any bid you make should be based upon bulk prices per static tile and animated tile. All of these current tiles need to be updated for the initial stage. Then we will expand the current list of objects for the template test game. The project will be long term since we are expanding this game system to incorporate multiple genres, including fantasy, SciFi, pirates, and others.

In the long term, the inventory management screens and interface may need to be updated. We may also need landscape/background paintings for special battle arenas. If we are happy with your work we may offer this additional job.

Hi, Gump.

It sounds like you need tiles only, no characters, in format 144 x 144 (not iso), to resemble already-done tiles that are 36x36. And some of them might need to be animated. Can you post an example or two?

On the animated ones, are they 2 frames or more like 8?

Actually, the current artwork is placeholders. We need a new style and there definitely WILL be characters. For the original template game it will be fantasy. Personally I don't have any preference for style; it just needs to look good whether it be realistic, anime, very cartoony (powerpuff girls), whatever. We also don't have a preference on the animation frames; they just need to be timed so they look good.
