no no, that was about hacking Runescape, not making a clone. Although when I said 'impossible' I probably should have used a smaller word.. [edit] Those 'cheats' are actualy programs that you would run on top of runescape. they edited values so the user could basically do anything he wanted. Yes I've cheated on a single player game. However don't go judgeing me because I didn't do something for you that involved cheating. Its our freedom of choice to help someone. First thing, do you understand what they were saying? Don't think you're the first one who wants to try and break the game, but they haven't been able too because the game makers don't want you to cheat on the game. Although I do see a bit of joking around on the subject, Some have answered you just not in the way you wanted. Second, do you understand how online games work? Most likely THEY hold your stats, your computer doesn't, so in order to change your stats you'd have to crack into their database, make them admins, make a program which uses the Admin account to break into their computers and database with a usable interface for you. Perhaps your brother can help you understand some of the concepts. Besides, logically, if you're an admin, and in one move see a character move up 66 levels, don't you think that would be a bit suspicious? I'm not saying they moniter everything, but they do keep their stuff under control according to what I understand. Besides, its not what they think, its what God thinks, ignore them. I know its tough, but lifes tough and unfair. Yes cheating is bad according to me as long as it affects someone other than you. Perhaps this isn't right or lining up. Ex. My cheating extent Ex 2. My cheating extent Ex. 3. Not good cheating Thats my theory right now. I reserve the full right to change my views/theories at any time.

Dardal, I suggest you start with six months of RSAA and gradually wean yourself off. The counselors will help you along - they are very skilled with this sort of thing. (Bwoogie, I only went to RSAA a couple times because I actually hated Runescape when I played it. |

haha, Game Maker isn't cheating. the languages you use are built off assembly and assembly is built of the binary. and Assembly coding could call C++ cheating, but they'd be stupid to ever make the claim we should all go back to assembly. Game Maker does have a rather complex, Object Oriented coding environment and having used it I would never call it cheating. It has it's own higher language built in and is worlds above other free engines. if you want to pic on an game engine, pick on RPGMaker or FPS Creator. now that is cheating. fun, but I would never claim to make a game off it. ------------------ |

Why not, RM? Game Maker is actually pretty simple(compared to using a 'real' programming language. ). Lemme tell ya though - the language GM lets you use is worlds below that of a real one. |

hey runescape hacks are endless, and watch out who you calling noob, only noobs call people noobs, if you were not a noob you wouldn't want to ask people for a cheat you would have made your own, i have at least 10+ runescape cheats(just a guess) on my system right now that i haven't deleted,i can tell you if i wanted to but i don't want to contribute to somebody elses act of deception(cheating). as the matter of fact mr. expert(dardal) what games or apps have you cracked or what sites have you hacked??? don't be lazy man, cheats are immoral, wrong and evil. no matter what it ease cheating or deception in general is wrong. i remember back in the days where i was trying to hack my schools system,i was getting close at one moment (i think), and one day my internet connection wouldn't work and when i hear on my phone line it sounded like it was being tapped, and i was filled with terror, 5 years in jail for attempted hacking!!! wasn't worth and still isn't , i was really terrified i even put most of my hacking related books,hacks,rainbow books,etc..under one of the most heavy encryption systems out there(128 bit). but after a couple of weeks for a completley different reason i became a Christian and that made realize more how wrong cheating and deception is. i know you probably think that hacking runescape and cracking software and hacking sites are completley different but i was the guy asking his friends how to cheat a game at one time too, it all starts that way don't be the lazy guy that cheats the game be the smart guy who makes the game(you will be richer that way too). btw, runescape hacks are some of the lamest hacks out there, i use to have files about hacking into yahoo,hotmail,myspace...etc. i was even downloading a file that consisted of 10000 credit card numbers. to show you i am not joking here is a credit card hacking document: disclaimer:the following info is purely informational and i take no responsibility for the actions of the people who use the information following.  Ok, first off I used to cheat at games once in a while, but as I matured a bit (not much really =P) I stopped, and actually began to look down on those who did so. I have never been to RSAA, I quit because my account was stolen. I had gotten to level 64, and had quite high stats in different skills too. After that I pretty much gave it up. As for calling people noobs, I see you havent noticed my signature. I have gone by that rule for quite some time now. I began my game making in RPGmaker (really not legal, but I have quite a bit of stuff I shouldnt If you really like Runescape that much, I suggest you either spend more time fighting high leveled monsters, (and less time killing chickens) or just get used to people calling you that. When people say that to me, I reply that noob is not actually referring to someone who is new, because that is in fact, a newbie. ------------------ |

You know Runescape employs people for the sole purpose of watching out for cheaters? Mate of mine from Uni did his work placement with them, he had to watch for cheaters, accounts sold on ebay etc. stuff like that |

I sent a message to them about e-bay not long before that. I can still find accounts on it though, just slightly harder to notice. If you buy a 'joke' from someone they will 'accidentally' tell you the password to their account. The biggest reason I was worried about this, is because people will pay plenty of money for an account that they wont get. They dont think about the fact that the person who sold it has the recovery answers. ------------------ |

Some of the stuff there, like what your talking about: There are quite a few fighting ones like Mystic Journey Im in the (long) process of creating a game at the moment. Um i don't think so it like a thing were you hit recored and mine or fight ect. then go to bank and hit stop . Then you hit replay so it dose it more then once and hit play. Do you know what i mean? ------------------ |

Gamemaker can do multiplayer, but I doubt it could handle a MMORPG. Unless you did something outside of GameMaker. |
