Visions is being developed by a volunteer team, it is a 3d graphics MMORPG set in the second century holy land. It will be a quest and skill based game in a persistent world where players can experience history through any of 3 branches of gameplay: Ancient Roman History, Professions, and Biblical History. The Professions will make up the day-to-day experiences of the player and the other branches of gameplay will be additional opportunities for quest content and adventuring. We have a lot of exciting things planned but since they haven't actually been implemented yet I probably shouldn't go into too much detail yet. You can read more about it on our FAQ pages though. ![]() Thanks for your interest! ------------------ |

Hmmm....the reflection system looks excellent, but you need a bit more detail in the textures, especially terrain textures since you seem to have ALLOT of terrain. Might also want to look into a method of smoothing the edges on your bodies of water in some way too. With a little TLC and a bit of creative panache though there's allot of potential for some good looking stuff. Good luck, and I hope you have a chance to hang around a bit in the mean time ![]() Ereon ------------------ |

Yeah, this looks like a neat forum. I'll try to interact with more of the people here. I always seem to end up with more on my plate than I can realistically balance though. ![]() ![]() And we are aware of the terrain texture issue. It bugs us too! But that's on the to-do list. It will not look like that freshly stirred paint at launch. And we have a lot of tweaking potential with the water in the engine, that's a default display if I'm not mistaken, but does show some of the potential. My programmers assure me that the water will appear to splash when the play-character runs along a shallow edge as well. I'm looking forward to seeing that in place. We should have plenty of terrain to play with by the time we're done. We are not aiming to set any records, but we are trying to provide an immersive and semi-relistic experience. Thanks for taking the time to look. I appreciate it! ------------------ |

I really like the modeling work there, and some of the textures REALLY stand out nice. ^^ What type of lighting scheme are you guys using? A suggestion would for the structures.. to perhaps add some damage or wear and tear to some of them... and with the lighting to perhaps tune the ambient light down a bit ^^ Anyways.. just my 2 cents. It's looking good though, keep up the good work! ------------------ |

LOL just realised this thread probably should have been in the "Your Annonucements" section. Didn't realise I put it in Help Wanted. Sorry! If a moderator wants to move it, that would be fine. I mean we are wanting more help on the project, but this wasn't really a "help wanted" post. Just an update. Blessings to you, (Edit for typeos.) Glad you like them. We have a few more animals, but most aren't animated yet so I've been hesitant to put too many into the world, we'll just have to go back and take them all back out again when we get animations for them. -Sparkling ------------------ |
