Recently, I left my laptop (Inspiron 5100, a nortorious model for overheating) turned on doiong absolutely nothing (it was running windows on the desktop) for a long period of time. When I came back it presented me with this scree: [image]www.freewebs.com/mlanet/115_1507.JPG[/image] basically it said "dumped ram for some random reason" after that on startup it checked its hard disk for problems but didn't find any. Now I have hypothesized that this may have been caused by heat, but it wasn't really doing anything and I had it on a book (to let its fan have easy air intake) and I have blown any dust off of it. So Im not sure what really happened. Can any of you guys take a guess at it? Ive got more pics if you want em.

Yeah, might have been the heat. I believe you can take that error code and check it against a list of them, to see what the cause is.

Probably the heat and Windows. My mom's toshiba runs XP Pro and crashes whenever the battery kicks in (such as during power outages or accidentally being unplugged).

Strange, well it probably was the heat; kinda sad how a few hours of Desktop rendering could do that =D
