Hey guys, I'm trying to do something new and different. So, I made this game level with constant action. I plan to build the remainder of levels based upon this one more or less, but I need to know that it works on different PC's ! Would you be willing to test it on your PC and see if it works or not like it is supposed to? You need a fast internet connection and konwledge of winzip to try it. Also, please keep the idea confidential as I want to surprise the game industry with something new. lol Ran... ------------------ |

Oh, that's an excellent point. So, is this level testing stuff risky? ------------------ |

you're fine. Nobody will steal your idea, even if you put it on any other forum, really. Anybody that would steal the idea would probably be incapable of making the game anyway. Not until you have a full game that meets success will you find copy cats. :-p (All theory.) ------------------ |

Hi, So was anyone able to actually WIN the race? Or do the computer players always win it? ------------------ |

Well Actually, I uploaded a new version at midnight last night and adjusted the player sensitivity down, so maybe it is better now? Or at least, it seems to run okay on the laptop here at work. lol ------------------ |

I'm still getting very sparatic and low FPS readings on my end......nothing stays constant for long and it very rarely hits 30. ------------------ "I am very good at hiding, so if you don't see me, that's where I am." Orc Outlaw, TES III Morrowind |

Hi Guys, ereon had a suggestion about the cave drop, so I added fog layers now. Download the latest level at that link I sent you. So, now it is good enough to start more levels you think? I know the frame rate is low, but this engine is being pushed to the limit. lol What do you guys think of this version? The controls are now better? ------------------ |

The control is definitely improved. May I suggest adding a fog of some kind and culling closer, just outside of the fog. Also you might want to come up with some way of regulating the FPS to a certain level. I know at one point to lept to 62 FPS or so and threw all my controls off. ------------------ "I am very good at hiding, so if you don't see me, that's where I am." Orc Outlaw, TES III Morrowind |

Oh, Yes, the frame rate is limited to 77 fps. <seven is God's number> But, maybe I should lower it down some... ------------------ |
