Greetings Everyone, I am writing for the express purpose of seeking Heres a preview of some of the plans for The Way MUD. 1) The current working storyline is set in the year 3900 1a) Currently I am working on a storyline for the game where 2) The Way MUD will feature several types of enhanced Human beings, 3) There is a race of "Ancients" that will act as GMs and Coders. You see, the average mudder needs a game that is somewhat familar to Several features that are different from other muds of the average type are: A) NO BODIES or organ parts laying around. People can get hurt but they B) Players will be either combative or peaceful. There is no player vs player combat outside of arenas of challenge. Nobody dies in these arenas. Combative players face the aliens, monsters, and other problems. Peacefuls gain levels thru doing good things, backing up the combatants with healing (medical and science based), and socializing. Of course the two types can mix a bit. C) much much more to come.... So in closing, if this interests you and you would like to help us create Please note that, at this time, MITE is still under |

quote: Smile, well currently, we are doing some demo worlds with quests. Would love for you to join us and make up some mini quests for us to see if we can do them in the C# scripts. We are using the time before MITE reaches beta to see if we can create what you may be interested in doing. Testing our ability to create what the writers want done. So dont hold back, offer up a few mini quests and we will see if it can be done. Then we will know we can do the big major quests for you at beta time. |

well, i joined the group and posted a hello message. i think i may even pick up a little C# and help you guys in that department. One of the reasons I am interested : the vision of the game seems pretty much in line with my own. Moraly sound games that don't shove God and salvation in the players face, but rather promote it and make it......appealing. ------------------ |

Ok CrazyishOne is on our team. He is helping us with good conceptual ideas and simulated user sessions. However, we really really need to have some people who can help us write the c# scripts. I am about the only one right now who has the time to do so and I am hard pressed with my limited knowledge of C#. So if anyone here knows a little c# and would be willing to give me a hand, it would be vastly appreciated. Riflefire |

Hey... C#... is there a difference between C++ and C#... i know some C++ (but not much in the process of learning it)... But i can help with what I know and I can help with story-writing and level design and graphics (some)... I also have a Christian (well, catholic, but...) friend who is an AWESOME story-writer (he's got a tv show written up in 1053 episodes so far but its not on the air cuz he's 16) I can ask him to help... I don't bring as much to the table as him (just in more categories) but we would both love to help... It's not too late is it? ------------------ |

There are some differences between C++ and C# (I think C# is cleaner), but if you can read one, you can almost certainly read the other -- they are extremely similar. No, it's definitely not too late to join up -- head over to the Yahoo group and introduce yourself -- you would be most welcome! Cheers! In Christ, |
