Ok, On sunday afternoons, A friend of mine is teaching me Java (All GUI, no CLL). But he is going on vacation, and so I still need to be able to learn (right now all we have done is set up the enviroment). Could someone here send me the best Java tutorials of all time. I need something that is easy to understand, and will put me on the rode to webgames. Please help. Peace EDIT: Just in case you need to know what I use and stuff. I use Oracles JDevloper. I also have the best documentation in the world. ------------------ |

Look in to your JDK folder. (It's probably localed under java folder in program files.) And from there go to: \demo\applets and you see some demos whit source codes you can learn from. Sorry that I don't know any tutorial sites but check out the SimpleGraph folder from the applets folder. |

My favorite is: http://java.sun.com/docs/books/tutorial/index.html Unfortunately, they haven't updated it in years, but it's what me and others used at work when Java first came out. I still reference it years later. Nice, easy pace. If you already have everything up and installed, start with the 'Getting Started' section. I like using Eclipse. It appears to be a resource hog, but I really enjoy using it. [This message has been edited by SSquared (edited March 22, 2005).] |

Signed up less than 24 hours ago. ![]() I wrote a little welcome intro in the General area. I had no clue how many people I actually know on here. Lots of familiar faces...er, ummm, names. |
