I'm really really sick of 56K AOL. I want high-speed Internet, but don't want to pay too much more than what I'm paying right now. Does anybody know of some cheap, yet reliable DSL providers? The best I could find was verizon for ~$35 per month. Does anybody know of something better than that? †Caleb† ------------------ |

You guys get it so cheap. In England a 512k adsl connection (which i have)costs me £23 which is about $38. Thats crazy! --D-SIPL ------------------ |

That Yahoo price is a promotional price for the first year, with contract. After the first year I think you pay the regular price of around 50. I believe the cheapest regular month-to-month plan they offer is 40 USD. Curry |

i used to pay about us$160 a month for my dsl, and that was just 3 gigs, with 10 cents a meg over that.. (though i did have 8000 kbps)- 3about 1 megabyte per second.. (so if i use full bandwith i could use my 3000 mb in less than an hour.. now i am on 256/256 adsl for about us$40 . this is in new zealand (and thats unlimited usage.. the most interesting broadband i would like to have is this woosh.co.nz (similar price) same speed.. but completely wireless, with the modem having a built in battery as well (so you can take your laptop and modem anywhere within the range.. i know they have a similar product in the states in the denver area as well. ------------------ |

Does the verizon deal include the ISP? Comcast increased their speed to 1.5 Mb as well (download only) and it is still ~$45/month. That includes the isp (email, web space, etc.). DSIPL - I can't resist ... are there any Roosters in Wooster? Sorry bro, ------------------ |

I have been looking around at DSLs lately and I think Sprint is the cheapest I have found. I'm not sure how reliable they are tho. I've still got to look into a few other things about them. ------------------ |
