QBasic... anybody over 30 here? What project is it that you are doing, i mean, doing 3d in QB is going to be hard and slow at the same time. Could you possibly do what your doing in a different language. Don't get me wrong, QB is where a lot of us started, but there are other quicker, more focused languages, that are just as easy to learn. --D-SIPL ------------------

Any particular reason why Qbasic? I've played around with it, but it's more of a toy language - not really useful anymore. If you want, I can tell you where to get free C++ and Java compilers. C++ with OpenGL is probably the best place to start for 3D programming. You might be able to throw around a few hundered polys, but don't expect to do anything really poly-intensive with Qbasic. ------------------ |

QBASIC was the first programming language I learned. I didnt really get to in depth with it but I like the simplicity. I dont know if 3D graphics are really possible with the program though.... What you should pick up is DarkBasic, that is completly 3D stuff but still as simple as the BASIC language. Check it out |

haha, whenever I see this title, I think of QuarterBack. ahh... Gbasic. Used to do that when I was young... sry, never learned too much, forget everything I did learn and have no desire to pick it up again. well, maybe, for nostalgia. |
