By saying TLC, I do not mean tender loving care. I am a manager by trade, and have decided to create a game based on a book I am working on. It has become apparent to me that there is going to be a place for a good story driven game( based on Christian values ) in the near future. The book is going to be in three parts, therefore the game will be the same. If I don't find the personnel that I need here, I will advertise externally. I am going to use Blitz for the first programme and then C after that. I am doing that so people from this site have a chance to contribute and then learn enough for them to contribute again. I am looking for programmers and artists. If you are interested email me at siliconchippy@aol.com, please also reply to this thread as if it is current I can build a stronger team. Full details of the games will be made available when you email me. ------------------ |

Man I can be so thick sometimes! D-Sipl, I just worked out what your Username is...All this time I've been mentally pronouncing it as D---SIPEL, not disciple...I'm so embarrased, I'm going to go sleep now. Sorry Chippy for temporarily hi-jacking your thread.. |

Hi AmazingJas, thankyou ever so much for informing me about D-Sipl, I had always wondered how he chose that name. I thought that he was the last ever person to join Aol and got given it. A name like that is a stroke of Genius, I wish you well my friend. ------------------ |

I would like to thank AmazingJas and D-SIPL for their questions.D-SIPL- All I would like to say is that I do have an idea of how the first game will be released. It will be free including the source code but all involved need to make that decision. AmazangJas-I understand that you want details. What I want you to know is that book one is almost finished, books two and three have the plot only. Details will only be made available to people who decide to help with this project. I know that does sound harsh, but I am a realist.I do not want anyone to copy my ideas. They would only add their spin to an already good story. ------------------ |

quote: Don't be embarassed your not the only one quote: AOL... lol. Never used them. The name came about because i dj, and when i used to play i used to go under the name D-SIPL... as in Disciple. It had an E on the end, but that was too obvious. quote: Lol. No probs about the question. I suppose with all thsi stuff with SCO (Judas's) it's nice to see they're is still support in the open source community. --D-SIPL ------------------ |

No offence taken Chippy, I appreciate the need to keep the story quiet. I was more interested in the style of game, eg, FPS, RPG, 3D, Isometric etc. Oh, and I was curious as to whether it was Christian themed or not. |
