Hay my B-Day is comming up on Sep 1st. I am currently taking cherituble donations for my "new cpu found". No really my wife said 2 years ago that I couldnt get a new cpu every B-Day I had. I asked her "how about every other year then"? So this is the other year. ~Angel~ |

Thats cool man. I dont exspect anyone to send me anything for my b-day. Mine always suck Been like that my whole life. Anyways on a more cheery note. My brother and I were chit chating about my upcomin b-day. I told him it would be nice if for once people would give me what I want. $10s and $20s No really my whole life ive always asked for that or a check for cash. I hate gift cards! I also hate useless little gifts that have no real value to me and I could think of better things to put the cash to that the thing cost anyways... (if that makes any scence to you, your crazy)! Anyways if anyone really wants to be nice and send a five$ check to me or something I can give my address :P God Bless |

hehe ArchAngel wishes Angel happy birthday, 2 classic members - Angel were you peeved when you saw ArchAngel had chosen that username? I mean 2 Angels on one board? I was getting pretty worried yesterday (on another top message board) when a WHOLE THREAD escalated - the subject what NAME should the administrator adopt? Angel, I just sent a guy on Blitzcoder a £20 note because of his appalling situation on there (laptop in hock) so I'll just wish you and your missus (and the sweetness of your life) a charmed and quaint birthday to come - you may ------------------ |

No Chiefy, im not ticked off about his name at all. I only put my name in as Angel because its what my wife calls me. Much like in my story. She gave me the name and I got glued to it. She also has a pet dog named Joker. Me and him locked horns at first but now everything is fine. My book reflects a lot of stuff that I know and have lived. I didnt feel like writing a documentery though so fantacy was the only choice. I do know what you mean by Name complants though. I used to be known as GothicClown but someone pitch a fit about it. Lots of other names too. Oh well ~Angel~ |

Oh blast it. Forgot to mention the stuff about cards. I know lots of people like gifts and cards and stuff. My prob is that I know exactly what I want. I dont really care to get anything else. Everyone has their little probs. Anyways I think thats all I needed to say... ta ta |

A no nosense attitude, we like it. GothicClown is a kool name. I used to be called CorrodedHalo until i came back to the Lord, now i'm D-SIPL (as in disciple) because thats my name that i DJ under. Anyways enough of my ramblings. Will say happy birthday when the time comes. Maybe you could set up a PayPal donations thingy, then people could do it online --D-SIPL ------------------ |

HA! never knew that you're name meant "disciple!" cool! That's cool that your not bothered by my choice. I always thought ArchAngel sounds cool. (it has to have two capital A's though) I could have gone with "Paladin", but then BluePaladin might object... Or Bean. I might scrap up a $5 for your B-day... |

(laughs to self) the more time I spend here the more I feel like im part of a lodge (n 1: a formal association of people with similar interests; "he joined a golf club"; "they formed a small lunch society"; "men from the fraternal order will staff the soup kitchen today" [syn: club, society, guild, gild, order]) I have no idea why I put that there :P Though in all honisty this place has turned into a small society in its own. We all put up with eachothers crap and are friendly to one another. The people I know here are probly the closest ive ever gotten to haveing Christian Friends. Oh my address is... If anyone wants to visit your welcome to drop by. Shoot Veritech from this board moved in with me. That was some crazy times. Wander how he is doing anyways. Last I heard he was getting hitched. Oh well. Peace mates to your households. PS if you are going to drop by here you should call. 361 798 5009 [This message has been edited by Angel (edited July 10, 2003).] |

Yes I im getting some cash saved finaly No really it looks like I will be able to save $200 from this check. That means if some more can be saved up within the next month I could get a new cpu by my B-Day. Then again it could all go to bills again I hope it isnt... To hope, to dream, what am I talking about? |

First, what motherboard do you have? What CPU currently? Second, I also hate gift cards and cash.... that is, I hate GIVING them! Seriously, I spend so much time and money on gifts it isn't funny. I have to get the perfect gift, though I'm thankful for whatever I get in return, even if it's only a Happy B-Day/Christmas/etc. [This message has been edited by GUMP (edited August 14, 2003).] |

Hay Gump! Rebbeca from that other place told me to say hi to you and to thank you for sending a pest like me to her place. Anyways to the nitty gritty I have a 1ghz amd athlon with 128 ram I think. I am currently after a $120 cpu after a $40 rebate. I would then head 5 hours north to my moms. She is giving me her old cpu. I would take the cdrom out of it and harddrive and put it into the $120 cpu. Thats about the cheepist way I can get a 1.3ghz around her. I wanted one that was the same as mine and thats the closest I can get. It looks like I wont be able to get at that cpu just yet... and may miss out on getting one for now. I did a big thing for me. I forgot about my wants for a bit and let my wife go to alabama. That was $115 for the bus drive and then $40 in gas back. Her step grandad gave us his old car. My wife has wanted one for years now. I am happy to see one of her dreams come true. I will just be putting mine of for a time so its ok. Only thing is when we start paying $60 something for insurance and all our cash is going to dissapear. I don't see a car as worth the cash but I cant drive it may be a bit of the reason though I could think of others. Anyways enough of hopes and dreams. You peeps be blessed and never forget that God can take care of your probs. He may not do it the way you wanted Him to but it will be better then your way I gerrentie ~Angel~ |

Angel, Sometimes Dell has deals for a whole new box for $350 after rebate! Be sure to look in their small business section too.

Assuming that you have a motherboard that supports it, you can get an Athlon 1.33ghz Thunderbird for $43 including shipping. That was my old CPU before I upgraded recently to a Athlon XP 3200+. http://www.googlegear.com/jsp/ProductDetail.jsp?ProductCode=80235 If you can find out what your mobo is I can look up if it supports the Thoroughbred or higher. You may be able to get something better. [This message has been edited by GUMP (edited August 15, 2003).] |

Thanks Tim! I hit dell and gateway up all the time to see if they have anything I like. Both of them are stuck on celron prossesers right now. I dont like celron. Gump im after a second cpu so I can network them and play games with my wife. Maybe im taking your last post wrong but that looks like you want me just to upgread my old cpu I am currently shopping around on www.TigerDirect.com they have bearbones kits with no os. ~Angel~ |

Oh, you're building a second PC? In that case, can I recommend www.pcfx.cc , owned by a friend of mine named Chris who lives in Texas. Except for notebooks, I usually don't buy prebuilt systems but Chris knows what he is doing and the pricing is decent (though of course he could never beat building your own). |

Well I ordered a big peace of what I needed today. 1: Soyo K7VEM Pro Barebone with Embedded Trident Blade 3D AGP Video and 300 WATT Power Supply I still need to get a sound card, cdrom, and a monitor. All in all I should be abile to get what I want by the end of next month I hope. Thats not my b-day parsay but its close enough for me ~Angel~ |
