A group of 3 of us met on EVERQUEST ONLINE ADVENTURES BETA and
now the group is growing. We need programmers, writers and artists
that will for the moment work for free to take the gospel onto PLAYSTATION 2. We need a warehouse/house soon to place the development team in. We need cash to fund the projects. Most of all we need your prayers.
The 1st game will take place from the time of it's release all the way to the new Jerusalem. Mechs are involved & faith is the main thing to be concerned about, not HP and MP. We also want to make children's games which teach not only to read and write, but the gospel to our youngest generations.

If you are interested or this sounds like an answer to your prayers as it was for us, then Email me soon. Let's get these games out there.

God Bless!

Ok, how long are your design docs? You won't go anywere without those. Trust me, I know.

I can't help you out as far as development.

I have experience project management for a while now, i'm still quite amatuer, but I have learned a few things...
So here is some advice.

Design Documents, the blue prints for the game.

Before you will do anything, you will need to write up a lot of design documents. Design documents should contain everything about the game in extensive detail, down to the precise keys used (no, i'm not joking)

Team management -
1. Your team needs to know what kind of game they are helping to make. They should have some good grounding on what the game is, not just some vague idea
2. Your team needs to have goals and due dates. On my dev team, I assign weekly tasks to be done.
3. People need to be held accountable, you need to make sure ppl get the work done. You need to give orders, but don't be too pushy, be nice, don't push people to hard that they leave the group
4. Be open, always allow input from your group (but don't let them control you, it's just input)

To be honest, i'm still in the process of learning how to manage a team and produce a game, i'm sure Mack could offer better advice (seeing how he ACTUALLY COMPLETED A GAME)

My design documents as you called them, I guess would be in the RPG Maker 2000 early version I'm developing. I can add any events to the storyline that any of us think of, come up with simple 2D graphics representations of what will be 3D later. Basically giving us a map of all we need to do when designing our 3D version for PS2.

I'm trying to encourage the whole team to be open about the sin in their past and how Jesus saved them, so that the game can have true accounts of these situations. I told them a few things about myself maybe they weren't ready to hear, but to help them to not to fear it.

Our 2D graphics artist who's been on board with me the longest of everyone said he's already working up some early maps for us, since we need a 3D real world map for every area involved in the game.

We still need atleast 2 3D graphics modelers and 2 artists for the game and that will complete our minimal development team.

Any further assistance whether joining our team, even if via a PS2 Linux kit, or by advice will always be appreciated. Thankyou and God Bless.
