I am looking into writing a web based church administration application in ASP.NET. I need a few business partners who will help with design and development. I have discovered that these things go much smoother when done as a team effort, rather than just me alone. Tell me a little about yourself and what your programming background is as well as any projects (school or professional) that you may have done. i use .net quite a bit now in my company though i can not commit fulltime.. i am interested.. could you briefly explain your goals in this project, and how you forsee it turning from an idea into a tested/marketible program that earns your (and whoever else is involved) keep.. unless of course you are making it for free.. Have you made any shareware/commerical software before that you have sold ? etc etc etc Karl ------------------ |

Klumsy, I'm sorry it took so long to get back to you...things have been busy for me lately. Basically this idea of mine is nothing more at this point than an idea. I have no business plan or designs drawn out as of yet. I am looking for a couple of partners who will share in all design and implementation tasks, and of course all profits as well. I expect that we would find a small church or two that might be interested in working with us on a consulting basis to help us design something that any church could actually use. In return for their input we would of course let them use the system for free for a certain amount of time (i.e. 6 months or a year). I have not written anything that I have sold as shareware or commercially, but I do have a couple of other projects on the burners. I understand that you wouldn't be able to commit full time, because I wouldn't either. I have a day job and a family, so this would essentially be an evening and weekend project...that is until it starts making enough money that we could quit our jobs...lol. Let me know if this is something you may be interested in pursuing further. Thanks |
