I am starting from the ground up and am looking for all sorts of workers to help complete my many Christian games. The games genre is RPG and Free (The ability to pick up anything or go pretty much anywhere.). Have you ever played a game where the creator of the game takes you through a long story or a movie takes over the main character of the game? Of course you have and sometimes it gets very frusterating going exactly where the creator wants you to go or to watch a movie of what your character is doing. When in fact you should be deciding what do to or where to go. The game that I am creating will be like a "Choose your own adventure" book, but at a much larger scale. Say for instance the player wanted to build a grand empire, take over other empires, raise a family, or just do whatever. My game will allow all of these things and more, but of course God will punish the player choosing something else rather than obeying God. The first game I am working on is about a man of about 21 yrs. old who is called by God to preach the Gospel to all nations. The time setting for my game is around 3080 but people live in dark age homes and lands are ruled by kings, but they have strange technological advances. The reason for this I do know but would rather not tell anyone just yet. The game will be first person view but with the feature of many more. As you can clearly see I need a lot of help direly. I am certainly no example to follow by and if I acted to harshly I am sorry. I have not even looked at many of others posts, and realize my own fault. But please help me, I pray for you to do this.

It could be a good idea, don't know about the implementation of it though. I wish I could be of some help to christian coders out there, but alas I know nothing about code, I'm just a plain 'ol IT person. But I love playing games and would be grateful to be given any opporutnities to test any games that you guys are trying to develop. I hope you get the support and guidance you need for your project, Lucas. This forum seems to be a good place to communicate with other christian developers out there. |

Hi, I will encourage you! Its a very good idea. Like MMPRPGs (Massive Multi Player Role Playing Game) there is RuneScape, a D&D like game using a lot of Java www.runescape.com I've actually have witnessed to a lot to people online while playing that game. I have a lvl36 ranger named Gift, mithral armor, and an adamite long sword, my pride and joy is the mithral kite shield which I bought for an enormous price maybe 10 times what its worth. I go around dressed as a monk its cool, there's a lot of foul mouthed 12year olds though.  I believe the next killer app. will be a MMPRPG, massive worlds, star trek space trading type game. Play by subscription, I could see 100,000 people paying $10/month easy. They'll make millions. (this is not a prophecy) Love in Christ |

I, too, am making Christian RPGs. Infinitum (third I is long). A simple 2D old-school RPG. E-mail if you'd like to learn more (I'm not a very good programmer (only 17 yrs old), but it would kick some serious butt in multiplayer. I'll pray for you and help you if I can. ------------------ |
