Two Guys Software has just sent it's 190 page Design Documentation (with included CD of all computer generated content) to a Christian publisher we've been talking to for the last couple of months. They've previously released other Christian games, and are very interested in our project.

Please pray for us in this time, that we'll get the deal or that God will direct us to another publisher that will, we'll be recieving word from them between July 7th and July 14th. Thank you.

Stay Frosty,

Dear Lord,
We humbly ask that your guiding hand be upon the Design Document. That you will guide it to the destination of your choosing. Give comfort to the authors. Be guiding them as well as all Christian Coders to be able to do great works beyond our scope and ability so that people can plainly see your handiwork in the projects.
If it be your will, bring the Two Guys Software project to fruition. Use it to glorify you and your kingdom. May it be an avenue to bring the lost to your son.
Amen.

Mack, if you can say, is it going to Cactus Publishing (Rob Anderson)?

I would like to keep that information under wraps until we get the deal. However if we don't nail this publisher, we're going to try Cactus.

I forgot to add, thanks for all your prayers. I believe this is going to go, but it's all in God's hands.

6.5 years of working for God, the deciation, the hype I felt for the game, the potental for reaching out to people......and it's all died on me, 2 Christian publishers just pulled out, and we can't do anything.

What am I suppose to do.

The words from the song 40 (an adaptation of Ps. 40) come to my mind.

quote:

I waited paitently for the Lord,
He inclined and heard my cry.

He lifts me out of the pit,
Out of the miry clay.

It always seems that when God closes a door He soon opens another. And it may or may not be with Revelation Since I'm sure that you've bathed this with prayer, you can trust that He has led you, so far, to this point. Trust Him that He can take you all the way too. Try also to be open to new directions without listening (and thus becoming dismayed) to the thoughts planted by the evil one (it's pretty tough). Have faith, brother!

Hey - that's tough.

I feel for you. Being rejected after putting so much work in and having high hopes is devastating.

Please don't give up. I believe God has a reason for everything, and he must have a plan for your game somewhere.

Heya,

I've seen this a hundred times, Mack. Only advice I can give is DON'T GIVE UP! There are so many stories about people who worked their tails off and got rejections time and again only to become amazingly successful. You just have to keep trying.

Steven King was rejected so many times as a young writer that he tossed his manuscript in the trash. His wife dug it out and kept shopping it. That book not only found a publisher, it got a movie deal and launched him to the top of horror fiction (the book was "Carrie", btw). He'd nearly given up on writing completely...look at him now.

Sylvester Stallone showed the Rocky manuscript to over 1,000 publishers that all rejected it. Finally one accepted it, but only if Stallone wouldn't play the lead part...he refused, they rejected. Look at him now.

Thomas Eddison once said that genius was "1% inspiration, 99% perspiration". He only had 3 MONTHS of formal education yet secured 1,093 patents. The joke was that he was so uneducated that he didn't know giving up was an option, and that he couldn't well spell "discouragousment"

There are countless stories like this.

Anyway, the bottom line is that the game business is a real tough business to break into, and you're trying to do it with a Christian game that's more cutting edge than any that's seen the market. You're the first to do this and people are going to be tough to convince...but it can happen. You really have to be persistent and have a never-give-up attitude to make it. It's going to be tough, no doubt. But, again, it CAN be done.

Keep the faith! Revelation is *going* to be a majorly kick-butt game!

We have no intention of giving up, it just might take us a little longer to make Revelation.
