http://kotaku.com/gaming/clip/shokotan-looks-for-akibas-king-nerd-321937.php

This video was shot in Akihabara ---where Trev and I were in Japan----check it out! When it first shows the station (you will see a white sign with a green JR logo and the word Akihabara in English on it) the camera will pull back--to the right-ish (kind of middle) you will see a building with a big yellow sign that says GAMERS on it--that is the building I talk about in the first TKTV podcast that is like all the geeks died and went to heaven!!! The dude wearing black and white at the end of the video calls himself Akiba-hiro aka A-Hero aka the Hero of Akihabara --he tells the lady that he is protecting the holy land of Akihabara from evil---NICE HEHE!

Yeah that game is caled Taiko Drum Master (or, in Japan, Taiko No Tetsujin--which translates to 'Iron Person of the Taiko Drum'---Iron Chef comes from the same word--in that case it is Ryori No Tetsujin which means 'Iron Person of the Cooking') We had 1 mix in America and it was AWESOME--it is the reason I love the Britney Spears cover of Toxic (otherwise, she is a hasbeen all the way hehe) --they had a cover of her cover in the American game and the drum line was awesome---I could do it on Oni (toughest level, Oni means 'demon' in Japanese like it was so tough it was evil)----when I was at our hotel I saw 2 guys play and they were in perfect sync with each other----that is just an awesome game---I wish they did more here--we have a cell phone mix so we technically have 2 mixes here but whoopdedoo ---in Japan they even have PSP and DS mixes----I saw them advertising the DS mix at a convention and I almost bought the PSP version in the Gamers store, but instead I bought a still-wrapped copy of Final Fantasy 7 International---because I am that much of a geek.

Man!! I can't wait for Rock Band!! It has drums too! I have the PS3 version reserved and nearly paid off--only 1 more week guys!! We already have a name for our band in the game: The Cult Called Love (inspired by my attitude of what God and Jesus want Christianity to be--a loving relationshop--where as a lot of people make it about religiosity to the point that a real Christian is in the minority--so us real Christians are a Cult Called Love heeh!!!!!!)

spade, there are few things more white than being a japan-fan.
lol.
Honestly, I never quite understood the fascination.
And I'm asian. (kinda)

Well, maybe with their women.
That Shoko Nakagawa chick was pretty cute... (plastic surgery, probably, tho)
admittedly, I'm kinda seeing a japanese girl, too...

Maybe it's time I learn from Shogun Zookey and his ways.

Hai so desu!!!!

Nope, not Japanese, hope to be adopted Japanese (marry Japanese) someday tho! I just love their culture, especially like how they are totally unafraid to be goofy like performing that dance in front of the Taiko Drum Master machine hehe!

You should see Tom Green and his Subway Monkey Hour in japan.
lol.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vGMfb60lc14
(This segment is clean.. can't say for the rest, though).

And now for a sad note: Japan has the highest rate of suicides in all first world countries.

And on a brighter note, I saved tons of money by switching to geico.
(actually, no, I lie. I saved money by switching away from geico...)
Oh, and the Mitsubishi Lancer Evo X looks really good.

And on an irrelevant note: From what I've seen of Japan, it really doesn't seem for me. Neither does europe. Or sudan. Mars seems nice, though.

LMAO that Ninja Turtle thing is horrible LOL

You know, when Spiderman was taken to Japan back in the mid 1900's, they gave him a giant robot--he was the first masked superhero in Japan to drive a robot--so all the stuff like Power Rangers were inspired by him.

When I was little, I thought power rangers were the bomb. NOw that I am older (and, even though this doesn't make that much of a differece, studying martial arts) I look back and it is CORNY AS HECK. Any yellow-belt in his right mind could do as much as the power rangers did. Heck, practically anyone in their right mind could!

but back on subject..
zookey, for a while there I was sure you were japanese or adopted (not married-into) japanese. I think you know more about the japanese than the japanese do!

LOL I knew more about Japanese pop culture than one of our guides in Tokyo did, but he was kind of a seculusionist personality anyways hehe!

Thing is, much of Japan is rather seculustionist.
It's not all anime and cosplay.

That video was kinda dumb hehe---well when we were there they were really great and not seclusionist--hell the went nuts if they knew we were trying to learn the language and culture (it takes clerks from uber polite in stores to going over the top and practically wanting to adopt you). Just our guide was that personality--he didn't understand 'younger' culture in Japan that well even though he was only in his 30's hehe---our older guide (who is more in touch with younger culture ironically) called him an old man hehe!

True, Asians crack up when they see a white guy trying to speak their language.
I personally can't stand the laughing, but that's me.
I had to deal with alot of it in korea.

Oh I bet

Yo dude, check out this dude, I bet he has a crush on that stupid E-Surance chick hehe!

LOLJK bro--but they didn't laugh at us---they got psyched and seemed even more eager to talk with us---we talked a little (mostly in English but some Japanese) to some older ladies working at a convienience store and gave them keychains, they in turn gave us a gift pack with stuff like chopsticks and the like with the company logo of the store chain on them. Japan is very used to tourists so they are actually pretty nice--hehe in most of Tokyo people didn't even stare at us even though we obviously looked different, although attendents and the like would try to speak English immediately and, when we would reply with Arrigato they went from nice to uber nice hehe!

would you believe me if I told you when I was in Japan, I was more or less shunned because I was korean? I was thrown out of a store once, even.

Well, I hope you didn't believe me, because I made that all up.
I'm glad that you had a great time in Japan.
