Looking forward to this one as well.

Since the local Christian stores wussed out and pulled thier rock/metal sections I'll probably have to order it online.

that stinks. the christian music stores prices are usually high anyway. i can get it online and pay shipping and still get it cheaper in most cases.

Are you going to get the deluxe edition? The dvd that comes with it is kinda short. the interview is only like 15 minutes i think. It has a music video (Fading Away) with some "hidden" footage. And some photos.
I basically just got it for the necklace (that I'll prolly never wear :P)

When I first saw this thread I thought it was about Bill Gates and Microsoft. . .

Your local christian music store pulled the rock and heavy metal sections. How interesting is that. Do they still have a hip-hop section? Do they have silk lined padded pillows in their chairs? ? ?

Probably not, just the regular CD. The deluxe packaging looks pretty cool however.

I don't listen to Hip Hop/Rap so I didn't check, I wouldn't be surprised if they did have a section however (due to it's current popularity). No pillows in the seating area.

I was disappointed with this release. Its just not anywhere near as good as The Triptych. Maybe it will grow on me, what about you guys. Did it fill your expectations? - Jeff

i like it. I think it will grow on you. It's different than their previous releases, but I kind of like that. Like Incision almost has a pop vibe to it. haha I don't like pop, but when you mix it with metal, the results can be interesting. Personally I think it beats the triptych, but I don't know if it beats summer of darkness

Overall, The album does feel a lot softer. It seems like there is less screaming... But personally I'm ok with that.. even with DH. This reminds me of Emery's new cd, less screaming in that one too...

They've been only getting lighter due to a lot of the fan base professing thier love of 'Heartstrings' and the slower songs. Personally I like the fast, pounding screaming songs on the CD.

yeah, I would agree with that. Which, I love their slower songs, but I do also like that harder ones too. Storm the Gates of Hell is like a firecracker. the first song is just that: fast and loud. but once its over, that's it really. I still like the cd though. dh fans should get it.

I got the Deluxe Edition. I got it for the extra songs :P

I loves it. I always loved Demon Hunter for their lyrical content first and play style second. So with Follow the Wolves and Storm the Gates of Hell, I just love the lyrics... *goes to listen to it*

If you're into early 90s pre-gothenburg death metal Tortured Conscience has a good cover of 'Little Drummer Boy'.

You can listen to it here:

If you liked what you heard, you can check out thier MySpace:
