LOL I **LOVE** that drumline---have so ever since I was a kid---I would love to see that done on Taiko drums!!! Another funny video, albeit not drum related but classic none the less, http://youtube.com/watch?v=Z0MIkXAkucM ------------------ |

whew.. i could only make it thru 2:30 of the taikos.. i think it was the annoying straw of an old guy playing the anvil that broke the camel's back. and.. uh.. yeah.. that last one was *definitely not* drum related... :P ------------------ |

Wow! Nice one with the Cadbury's. I like how he's got the hi-hat tapping away on the beat, too. I didn't watch the whole Taiko thing, but it was inspiring. Kind of made me reflect back in the days when I used to listen to Drum Corps International (DCI). The Blue Devils had a terrific drum line and were famous for always putting in a super tight snare roll accelerando. I don't really know what to call it. But they would start out tap, tap, tap, super slowly and speed up into an incredibly fast snare roll. It was super tight and rather amazing. I couldn't find an example on YouTube so maybe they don't do that anymore. Although it was sort of a signature theme they did. |

Oh cool hehe--don't forget to watch the second Taiko one too--that is 100 people playing at the end of the Tokyo Marathon, it is shorter, more intense and no cowbell thing LOL---plus the non-drum video is classic!!!! Yeah Taiko does remind me of school drums a bit, but I love how Taikos are built differently and sound like a storm coming!! ------------------ |

Hey zookey.. I liked the second taiko vid. those girls really seemed to be getting in to it Oh, and clicking a couple of times in youTube got me this vid. http://youtube.com/watch?v=j9QCQhKyskI&mode=related&search= Its Kentaro vs. a shamisen. Its a little slow and respectful to start with, but ends in a DnB blaze of glory. XD Kentaro has some mad table skills, tho some may consider his choice of sample for this one PG. ------------------ |

quote: I respectfully bow to you Samw-San, that video just slightly edges out the Tokyo Marathon Taiko Drum Players as my favorite!!! Just think how awesome it would be to have a few Taiko drum players in that mix! The audience would have had a heart attack! ------------------ |
