I'm learning about it, and am curious, is it free, or is there a demo that doesn't have a time limit? I might be interested in playing.

It's totally free, I played it for a while. It's more realistic, Counter Strike style realistic I'm told, so it's not for run around and fun 'em up fans. But if you like tactics and more intense, realistic play I'd go for it. It's fun and they also just released game map making software for it as well.

It's totally free on account of it being almost a promo for the military.
You go through "training," get badges then go out and fight.
Interesting concept, but I'm not too in tacical FPS's.

It is interesting what the Army has come up with the market themselves. Unfortunately, this is nothing like the real thing, that was, nothing like my experience. Americas army computer operators. Not an exciting RPG huh?

I got bored when I had to go to the class and pass the test. If it's that complicated to know the different specifications then I don't think it's too much like a game anymore.

Just tell me which side I'm on and send me out! LOL

i just looked at america's army on wikipedia, and it is completely free, so you don't need a demo. it also has links on the bottom of the page to the official website and some reviews and stuff.

Well Mene, I'd consider it one of the best games I ever played. It's just plain fun. (Obviously, considering there's a few million players)

Ahhh.. Bridge SE... running up the ridge, dropping prone behind a rock and slamming my bipod's prongs into the snow-encrusted ground, then watching an unwary enemy soldier moving slowly down the ledge on my side of the bridge.

My first shot hit the concrete by his head. He just kept moving slowly down the ledge.... such a bad idea. Probably didn't even notice.
I personally woulda jumped. He ended up falling anyway, after my second shot.

Dang... I loved playing that game. Can't play it anymore.

I used to play America's Army quite a bit, just recently downloaded the latest version and going to fire up my old account. I found the game to be one of my favorite Multiplayer FPS experiences ever.

it's purpose is explicitly for recruiting (i don't know where the developers or the army said that; i just read it on wikipedia). and all you taxpayers out there bought 6 million people a video game. yes, the game is funded by all your tax dollars!

Well if it's free, the tax dollars didn't buy you a copy, they were spent on development. Too bad game consoles aren't payed for by tax dollars, sure would make people happier to pay up
